  "state negotiators arriving in the area said the locals refused to let the officials go until arrest warrants against the suspects were canceled.

  locals also demanded that two devoutly religious jehovah's witness families be forced to leave san cristobal for 'causing religious unrest.'.

  Looks like some folks in Mexico would rather live with "suspected kidnappers" than Jehovah's Witnesses. Check this out:

  Hi Marilyn,

  My spouse read the book, but we didn't see the TNT movie. She enjoys topics like earth-based spirituality, and goddess mythology. From what I understand, Mists of Avalon is a little bit of both. Christianity and other male-deity religions have a history of crushing others in their efforts of promoting loving gods. I'm not sure "the people merely changed the goddess into something that would work in the new way." I think the Roman Church demonstrates the male hierarchy of god mythology by relegating the "Mother of God" as one who gets Big Daddy's attention. The goddess was defrocked, not "merely changed."

  Hope you're able to relax after the wedding. If the punch is spiked, that helps!

  Only people who've actually had the delightful experience of raising a child to full adulthood can relate the monitary expense involved, imho.

  Excellent points, and couldn't agree more. Our son is going to Ohio Wesleyan University, and at $30,000 a year, $900 a month doesn't come close to paying the tab.
