What was the best KISS you ever experienced?
by Terry inthe phone rang in the art gallery and i answered.. the voice was a young woman's.. one of her two parrots had died rather suddenly.. she wanted a colorful frame for the memorial portrait.
could we accomodate her?.
the remaining bird was sulking.. i suggested parrots without partners.. i don't where my tasteless jokes come from.

growing up (born-in) saturdays were not fs days for us - it was sunday....i'm talking back like 1957-1967 era. my saturdays were quite nice and normal - sunday was fs all morning long, lunch, then afternoon meetings.....bad weather, just an ordinary day at home. and, as my mother was exceptionally holy we didn't have a tv until i was like a senior in high school....so i never knew the diversion........

Annoying 2/15 WT - Don't Be Stumbled- your Mind Just Misunderstands !
by flipper inanother wt article which causes jw's to doubt their own perceptions of reality.
) in this particular article titled " for those loving jehovah, " there is no stumbling block " - the wt society stoops to new, or rather re-hashed lows to insinuate that most if not all jw's really misunderstand causes of stumbling as it's just their minds that are imperfect, messed up, or gone entirely anyway.
the first abhorrent bit of information here describes a witness man who " fought " with feelings of being homosexual and of course the elders thought they had the perfect antidote to keep him from his alleged " abnormal " desires.

BARBARA ANDERSON - SHOCKING!!
by The Searcher ini don't know why, but it took me up until a few hours ago to read her story at http://www.watchtowerdocuments.com/ and it opened my eyes more than i'd have thought possible.
having researched the real truth over the past 3 years or so, i felt my disgust was complete, but i was wrong!
i used to think that bethelites had it made, being in amongst like-minded brothers and sisters every day, but it appears their little 'spiritual paradise' is just a facade.

silence of the lambs was a real turning point for me. i'd been fading for the longest time, but really didn't think much about it....reading her information and knowing from experience how very true it all was, and coupling that with the whole pedophile mess ..... ttatt....freedom at last!!!

My questions for YOU
by Terry ini'm curious about human intelligence and beliefs as a natural phenomenon.. i've long suspected that even the most "normal" and well-educated person harbors "fringe" beliefs.. the purpose of this thread is not to mock beliefs of any kind.
rather it is for all of us to toss in to a pile our own unprovables so .
we can, as a group, evaluate how natural and non-neurotic such thinking might well be.. .

I believe the loch ness monster exists - also sasquatch. i think they are very furtive and that loch ness has underground tunnels through which he/she swims to the open sea. i further expect that there are yet species that remain unseen/undiscovered on planet earth.
i believe the universe is ever-expanding and there is a possibility of life elsewhere. why would a creator with endless powers stop with planet earth and living physical creatures just there? but then, there is the argument that this is just a start, an "experiment" if you will.....
ufo's, no...the us military creates some pretty absurd things and tests them out - every now and then they are sighted and a big ufo craze erupts.
conspiracy theories - yes....skull and bones, new order....there's a major plot hatched and in process....most likely.
i do not argue any of these things in any way shape or manner. they may or may not have credence, but some seem to me to fit reality.
psychic powers, esp? i think we all have capabilities we haven't harnessed yet. intuition is definitely there, and there are occasions where you just have a gut feeling that something is going to happen, or that something isn't the wisest choice and you end up being right. it could be bred of coincidence and past events in your subconscious, but then it also could be something further. and deja vu......is it really subconscious?
then - when physical beings die, their energy is released and flows back to the universe. energy is indestructible - it is and remains. so do i possess the energy of a crow or a raven that lived in medieval times? do i recall pecking dead rabbit pelts for meat in my life as a crow? did my cat that died at 18 really come back and sit in the pinetree mocking me in her new owl's body? i can get very imaginative about this stuff.....

interesting spin, data-dog...but remember who it was that got uriah conveniently out of the way...and women those days had no say in anything. bathsheba had to yield to the king no matter what the consquences. i think the guilt ball is completely in david's court.
about the lineage to the messiah - perhaps bathsheba possessed a superior gene pool, so was used for the privilege. of course, that is going to land us in a rough position trying to explain off whether or not david acted on free will in gathering her to his inner chamber....

Top Ten most SHOPLIFTED items?
by Terry ini realize that such stolen items would have to be in some way portable and this eliminates most large items from the list.
still, i was surprised!.
does anybody have any thoughts as to whether this list is indicative of any special need trends among humanity today?.

cigarettes around here are always behind the counter and people have to ask the clerk to get them.....i totally see the infant formula - with so many babies born to people who don't really have the means to support a family...
i would anticipate it would take some planning to heist a big ole tv.......but, there are crooks out there sad to say...
