I was falling out of the truth when I was past the bloom of youth but happifying...married only in the Lord and was fed food in the proper season and anxiously awaited new light but the new order of things did not happen so I needed loving counsel and encouragent from the big trees of righteousness and then to keep up with the chariot I had to stop calling it a new order and refer to it as the new system of things but no one posted that letter from the faithful and discreet slave on the information board so how was I to know it had changed back to the new world? And millions now living went on to their heavenly reward while the publishers of the good news anxiously await their vegan lions in paradise.

Food Boxes given out by Society
by JustChillin inanyone else get a food box delivered by local congregation to your door - allegedly by the society?
weird.
i looked online and found a couple of youtube channels saying the society is taking food from food banks and giving it only to their congregations.

Seriously??? I think it would be a nice gesture for the elderly or ill with limited income....but just because someone is a cult member in good standing doesn't mean they need or deserve a handout. Grocery stores never closed and food has not been unavailable in the pandemic...
Curious about fried chicken in NC MA.....though. Did it come hot and crisp? What vendor?

The Climax revelation book probably takes the cake in recent history...but some of the early Russell/Rutherford stuff is hilariously looney. I remember Awake mags that had such ridiculous or obnoxious covers I refused to hawk them...and some of the articles were downright lame.

Did they use to applaud after reinstatement after being Disfellowshipped, but then it stopped?
by ThomasCovenant ini don't remember disfellowshippings happening very often and announcements about being re instated but i think i remember that we used to clap hands if someone came back after being disfellowshipped.
but then i think clapping wasn't allowed.
am i correct in my recollections?.
