"Does anyone on this board have local connections with anyone in Bellows Falls, VT? I'd been there a long time ago once or twice, but that was ages ago."
respectful_observer, I believe that the JWN member Seeker4 was/is from that part of VT. I knew some folks from that congregation as well, but that was over 20 years ago.

I just finished The Silmarillion. Any suggestions on next Tolkien to read?
by sd-7 ini've read 'the hobbit', 'the lord of the rings' (including the appendices, well, except the shire calendar and elvish language), and 'the silmarillion'.
i was really impressed with 'silmarillion'.
almost seems like it could be a movie in itself.

The Silmarillion was an amazing book to read. I haven't had the opportunity to read "The Children of Hurin"; I own and have read "Unfinished Tales", "The Book of Lost Tales" 1 and 2, "The Languages of Middle Earth", and "Smith of Wootton Major & Farmer Giles of Ham". All are good.
I wish I had time to read them all again. Maybe in a few years.

I like to keep a few in a small humidor during the summer months - probably have one once a month or so with a nice glass of scotch out on the back deck during warm weather. I've never been a smoker, but a fine cigar can be a truly enjoyable experience.
dbnc - my personal favorites have been by Cohiba, Arturo Fuente, Oliva, and Padron. Enjoy your camping trip!

While it's nothing like the good ol' 80's and early 90's, I feel a little spoiled seeing the 49ers in their second straight NFC championship game. It had been a long drought. Last year I was just happy to have them there. This year I'm expecting a win and a Super Bowl ring to make it 6-0 all time. Oh yeah.

Single Malt Whiskey. A preference?
by LoisLane looking for Superman ini am not a drinker but i hear single malt whiskeys are good.. yesterday at the liquor store, i asked a nice man, who also was looking over the bottle display, if he could tell me which one does he prefer and why.
one of the store clerks, came by, listening, and said she preferred the same bottle.. i bought the one they preferred:.
glenmorangie.

Hi Adiva,
The clearest/lightest scotch in color that I have had is Ardbeg 10 year. Its visual lightness gives no hint at the peat attack that is coming. I love it for its honest no-holds-barred drink-me-if-you-can attitude.

I'm sure that the bottle of Glenmorangie will be savored and appreciated, Lois. It is a delicious single malt that is a little easier on the palate than some of the heavier smoky and peaty offerings.

Yup, probably a Rootkit virus. In addition to the link that Badfish provided, download Malwarebytes and run it.
