  anyone else like to run?

  i started running regularly in the past year or so and am becoming addicted.

  participated in my first 5k earlier this summer, a large even with about 2,500+ runners.

  ever get those crazy and funny lines of reasoning going while daydreaming, the ones that seem full of promise but just won't flesh out into something spectacular?

  those ones that would be worthy of a great thread at jwn, if only they were fully cooked?.

  i have those.. sadly, i am so busy most of the time that i never get to follow my little thought experiments.

  Literature-Leaving Etiquette

  a friend of mine is the tasting room manager at a local vineyard.

  this weekend the vineyard hosted an anniversary party for a my-gosh-they-are-so-young-for-having-been-married-for-so-long couple.

  while cleaning up after the party, the employees found numerous pieces of literature hidden in their magazine racks, and the 3-dvd set, "the bible - a book of fact & prophecy" hidden among their cds.

  Birthday Beer

  so i have never celebrated a birthday before, but the nice folks at my office are putting on a little party for me today.

  Cleaning House

  recently my wife, without any suggestions from me, dumped the majority of our wts books, brochures, mags, etc.

  into the recycling.

  i was pleasantly surprised, to say the least...and we have lots more bookshelf space now!

  The New Jeremiah Book

  my mother-in-law just got back from her convention and gave us the new releases, this jeremiah book included.

  just a quick scan of it has revealed a few gems.. first of all, there is a chapter entitled, "you can benefit from the new covenant" (italics theirs).

  i am not a christian, but i understand the beef that many will have with this entire chapter.
