Well done informative video of how the Watchtower Corporation psychologically damages people in its intent to control and exploit
by Finkelstein inthis youtube video put out by a once member of the jws, goes into concise detail the extraneous efforts the watchtower corporation intentionally goes into luring people into their organization to only exploit them as its own controlled and subservient sales representatives for their publishing empire.
its a bit long to watch in both parts, it might be a good idea to just not watch it but rather listen to the audio portion alone.
as the video plays along, how many points does this guy hit the nail on the head as to correctly identifying what is really happening and going on in this religious corporate hybrid organization ?.

BARBARA ANDERSON - SHOCKING!!

having researched the real truth over the past 3 years or so, i felt my disgust was complete, but i was wrong!
i used to think that bethelites had it made, being in amongst like-minded brothers and sisters every day, but it appears their little 'spiritual paradise' is just a facade.

Then I read Barbara story, which I found soooo interesting that I decided to translate it in italian and french and post them in two forums and site.
As JW we have always imagined that Bethel was already 'paradise on earth'.... ubelivable what you can discover behind the curtain...
I suggest to read about Barbara also on Freemings.org in which I found an interesting experience of an ex JW working only two weeks for Bethel
you willl learn lots more...
Since, we have regular contact with Barbara and Joe ... good diligence and allegiance from her, since her discoveries...

What was it about Bethel that woke you up?
by cognisonance inone the how many exbethelites thread it was mentioned that some think one either leaves down the path towards apostasy or as a 100% true believer.
i'm curious what experiences did you face at bethel that woke you up (or started to at least)?.

Their behavior, their way to deal with people when they answer to a letter! They tend to minimize the problems, they tend to let you feel uncomfortable, to make you feel guilty, they do not have any real charitable thought, the best suggestions they could give is 'leave the things in Jehovah's hand' and they do not move the little finger...
My husband has a 130 file with letters to and from the Bethel, for the case which led to his resignation as elder, he and I felt so devastated in reading them and still feel that way if it happen to read them again...
One sentence is unforgettable and show their spirit: 'You better look at yourself as others see you'...!!!!! Should'nt they DO THE SAME????? Such people do not deserve respect, that is one of the reasons why we left the organisation!!!

I met, years ago, a very famous italian actor in a superbe Hotel in Rome. We were, with my husband, having a drink at the piano bar and the pianist asked to me which song he could play for me... I started asking one, he was astonished of my request because it was "Laura" the song of an old movie. Then, I requested "Star dust... and then some other very special songs and arias from West Side Story...well the pianist and my husband were much impressed about my requests of songs not so commun and known... and the people around. I felt like the crowd was waiting my answer to the pianist who was again and again adressing only to me...
My husband and I spent a lovely month traveling throught Europe with Barbara and Joe Anderson.
Lately, always with my man, we attended a special meeting in south of France and met there Steven Hassan, who was attending the same meeting. We had the chance to sit next to him in the bus when we went visit Bugarach and talk a lot with him. Very nice and friendly person.
