13% of the Governing Body is of african descent. About the same as U.S. population according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_United_States.
True...except, just under 25% of the U.S. population is non-white, so where are the Asians, Hispanics, etc.? And do they not proclaim themselves to be an international organization -- in a world where whites make up only 20-25% of the population? And isn't the greatest growth happening in Africa and Latin America?
If they want to claim to be an international, color-blind church, they have to start acting like it, even if it's just for PR purposes. Otherwise, this is just more proof that they're little more than a historically white-dominated American group with minor satellites elsewhere.
