  Please help me understand a JW dream

  please help me understand this jw dream.. my therapist once told me that dreams are one of the ways that our subconscious mind have of telling us something emotionally urgent about ourselves.

  as i had a dream last night that really aroused my feelings, i was wondering if anyone cared to take a stab at what it is trying to tell me?.

  the dream.... i find myself at an indoor circuit assembly.

  my cousin's brother sends a card...grrrrr

  my cousin, sharon, who died in september.......was disfellowshipped three years ago.

  her brother is still a witness, and wrote a thank you card to an elder in the congregation here.

  this elder and his wife came to visit sharon a few days before she died, and before she started to lose her ability to make sense when she talked.

  Okay, I was going on information as I understood it. Well then, write away if it makes you feel better. I know it would me. But like I said I would never deliberately do anything to hurt a close friend's feelings. Sounds like only Sharon's brother has no clue about the real truth. It seems to me if his Special Pioneer wife from Chile and their three sons are smarter than him.

  It is a shame that Sharon's brother said what he did. However, regarding writing him back, but sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. The reason I say this is you risk loosing a friend in the process. Prehaps your Elder's Wife friend will not be as open with you in the future. She might be very valuable to you, in some unforseen event. So why risk it? Furthermore, your letter will fall on deaf ears anyway, after all you are "unaproved association" in this man's eyes anyway. Just some thoughts I hope you read.

  Silly question.......

  i understand it but at the same time i dont understand it because i was born and raised a jw so i was always in their mindset.

  but how does someone who comes from the world and joins the org justify going against every natural instict they have?

  i mean its just unnatural to turn against your own flesh and blood.

  Well, let's look at it. I know you have been out in service, so we will start from there.

  I was taught when I presented a book, to turn to the paradise pictures and show that to the house holder. And from there show them the scriptures in Psalms 37, and then the ones in Revelation 21, carefully hilighting the peaceful conditions, youthful vigor, and happy life. After getting them to take the book and agree to a "Bible Study" I leave.

  After some time of studying with an interested one, constantly hilighting the best parts of the JWs, and hopefully getting them to several meetings, then you must sow the seed of doubt about their way of life.

  As the study conductor, you must continually keep telling them how great it would be to have perfect health, youth forever, and happiness forever. If you are unsuccessful in repeating this formula, the study ends.

  Then go back to that seed of doubt that you planted about their life. Show them that if they don't become just like you, they will not get to, live forever, have perfect health, and happiness forever. At this point the house holder is brain washed.

  Further brainwashing occurs when this person is baptized. Then they are stuck in the Jehovah's Witnesses belief system. If they are not always in compliance, then they loose out on the perfect health, youthful vigor, and happiness forever.

  It is at this moment, that the society can say, "It is either the sinner or us." This person knowing full well, that if he/she chooses the "sinner", then he/she will miss out on the prize which is perfect health, happiness, and peace on Earth.

  It all comes down to that carot on the end of the pole.

  Approved Cow's Blood Product Delayed

  this is an important story on the "approved" cow's blood substitute (hemoglobin based blood product called hemopure made by a company called biopure).

  this "hemopure" product was approved by the jw's hospital information service back in 2000 as a substitute for red blood cell transfusions.

  this would help a lot of jw trauma victims who could not accept red blood cells.

  Thanks Hawkaw,
  Sounds like Biopure has a bad product. Or at least has more work to do. To echo what Lisa said, those fools in the Society have jumped the gun on aproving something that could be unfit to use.
  I am having trouble with this though. Why is a bovine blood product okay, and a human blood product not? It seems to me that the Bible calls blood, blood, without making a distinction. If this is a doctrine that the JWs want to subscribe to, then do so and stop splitting hairs about it.
