I have a question for Dunnscot. Why are your posts so damn long? I might actually read what you say if you weren't so boring.

duns/dan, i have followed the posts where you and alan have gone at each other debating the interpretation of old watchtower articles and the correct definitions of latin terms.
it's about as much fun as watching women's underwear drying on a clothes line.
since alan is a good friend of mine and my statements saying that i do like you are genuine i thought i might be in a position to ask you a couple of questions that hopefully give all us standing in the bleachers watching the game a little better insight on exactly where you are coming from.

just for fun - and on a more fun/lighthearted note - i have a few questions to pose:.
1. what was your very first car?.
2. what car are you driving now?
1. My first car was a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. I still have it.
2. The cars I have now are 1990 Ford F150 truck and a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. I love them both.
3. I am building a trike. Volkswagen back end and a motorcycle front end. I guess that qualifies as my dream car.

just wondering,.
who had the power in your congregation?
in mine it was always the elders wives.
Hey Jonjonsimons, Don't feel bad, I am not liked in JW circles either. I guess that happens when you tell them the truth about theirselves. I didn't figure you were still here, I don't blame you, but you are welcome at my house anytime.

In my congregation, one elder's wife ruled her family and others. But mostly the crotchety old men err elders ordered everyone else around.

[quote].
i found out i had been "terminated" from my last job and found out on my first day back from vacation......argh, oh those cc bills!
well, i went out and immediately signed up with about 7 temporary agencies.
I am glad I did not listen to the elders in my former congregation. I took a job that paid twice what I made before. The only draw back was I had to go to second shift and miss the evening meetings. I guess that was not a very big draw back after all.

if you are an employer, never hire a jehovah's witness.
the reason for this is simple: that mistake may cost you a lot of money!
you can bot expect a jehovah's witness to do what they are told to do, but you can expect them to do the oposite!
I agree with drahcir yarrum. Jehovah's Witnesses make the perfect janitor. They also make good window washers and they can mow lawns too.

a long while ago i ran across a website that had a list of things jws cannot do.
as you can imagine it was a very long list.. if anyone knows the address of this site i'd love to have it.. if not, then perhaps we can start our own list right here.... thinker
I like the fact that I can wear a beard, smoke and look at porn if I want to. Being independant is cool!
