  went over to a disassociated witnesses house the other night,.

  former org hatchet man,now as violently opposed to the org as he was, once, enslaved by them.. hes talkin "raymond franz says this...franz says that" all night.. it made me sick to my guts.. franz was pure borg heirachy, born and bred to power.. now hes opposed (if he aint dead by now)and these ex borg mind slaves are still listening to the guy like hes a repository of truth.. im not attacking ray franz,hes probably a nice guy,im just floating an idea.

  I read the COC book and found it very informative. I don't think Ray is seeking any following. The purpose of the book is strait forward, to inform those who want to learn about the real world of Jehovah's Witnesses from the highest post in the orginization, the Governing Body. Many have attacked the JW Society looking for their own following, but I don't see that coming from Ray. You say you are jealous of Ray's authority, what authority? So what if he was once a Governing Body member. All that says to me is how much time he wasted doing something that was completely worthless. Ed, relax, do some streches, and find a hobby you love.

  well sad to say it was not revelations of sweeping reform or "new light" on caring for the flock.

  the first day was primarily rehash of old stuff.

  Wow Messenger, I wonder how you can stand to hang in there. I had some thoughts about the 15 minute rule. The elderly could just go to the service meeting and then go back home. Those boring meeting last at least 20 minutes. Women might be able to take advantage of this rule too, just imaging, she could tell the elders, about being pregnant, or having very young kids. Others could use migrane headaches as an excuse. However, with this new rule, the field service hours will go down, because the average hours will lower with many claiming they are inferm. Those "kind" reminders on how to hold a shunning meeting were interesting. No doubt, because nothing new was mentioned in those proceedures, it was for the elderly elders who will use that 15 minute rule.

  Sick of Thanksgiving/"Family Dinner"?

  i love my family, with a few exceptions, but i am not sick of thanksgiving for another year.

  i have had three turkey dinners, in three days, and i don't want to look at turkey meat for at least another month.

  time for a bologna sandwich, damn it includes turkey too!

  A Family Dinner?

  on this wonderful weekend, i just wonder how many jehovah's witnesses had a "family dinner" instead of thanksgiving.

  i know when i belonged to dubdom, many familys would get together for a "family dinner", but don't dare call it thanksgiving.

  never mind the food was the same, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, grape juice or wine, and pumpkin pie.

Never mind the food was the same, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, grape juice or wine, and pumpkin pie. How strange it is to just substitute one word for another and it becomes something you can do. The only excuse given about why to have a "Family Dinner", was trukey was cheeper now, so it makes sence to have it. Huh?

  uruguay has apologised and pledged tougher security after the socceroos were spat on, jostled and abused in a hostile start to their world cup mission to montevideo.. coach frank farina, captain paul okon, midfielder steve corica and team leader greg woods were all spat on by a volatile crowd of up to 50 who were waiting at the airport in the uruguayan capital.. all players were manhandled, one was punched and another kicked, as they ran the gauntlet from the airport to their team bus.. kevin muscat, who scored the penalty that beat uruguay in the first leg in melbourne on tuesday, was also among players targeted with verbal abuse.. the predominantly male crowd, but including some women and girls as young as eight, also made offensive gestures at the australians, including one-fingered salutes and cutting motions with their fingers across their necks.. after wiping spit from his face, farina slammed the reception for his team as disappointing and uncivilised.. "it's not unexpected but it's a little bit disappointing," farina told reporters.. "i think there was a ... lack of security on behalf of the uruguayan federation.".

  Sorry if what I am about to write offends any soccer fan. In the US, most of us feel that the better action in soccer happens off the field, not on. To many of us soccer sucks. Now, Australian football is great.

  To Everybody Else,

  And before anybody thinks or says, "How do you know these three women?" I will say this, I dated these three women. Something I always discuss early on in a relationship is abortion. It may be an uncomfortable thing to talk about, but I do try to bring it up very soon in a relationship. I like to know where a woman stands on highly debatable issues.

  Ture, abortion ends a pregnancy, but I also know two women that had an abortion just because they forgot to take their birth control pills. Again people, read between the lines!

  My reasoning has nothing to do with slavery. You are comparing apples and oranges. It is not my place to tell a woman what she can and can't do with her body. Don't forget, the bible is loaded with slavery, so appartantly God must see nothing wrong with slavery. I can't read his thoughts, so maybe abortions for the purpose of saving a woman's life is fine with Him. The next time you pick a fight with me, read between the lines of what I am saying. I never post long posts, because I like to keep things open for more comments. Ain't nothing like hogging a thread to one's self.

  Personally, I don't support abortions for birth control. I do however support abortions that protect the woman from death. Yes, I do know somebody that did need an abortion for this reason. Is a fetus LIFE? That is hard to say exactly. Does a human fetus become a human? Yes. So perhaps it is a dependent life. Now here is the twist to my own opinion. Because I am not a woman, I choose not to tell a woman abortion is wrong for a birth control option. It is her body. If their is a God that cares, then a woman that has an abortion will have to answer to Him. I guess, if I decide on a final answer, I really don't care if a woman has an abortion or not.
