I dissagree with you last post Flower, where you say you would be happier if you were good enough to be a real witness.

Look inside a Kingdom Hall. How many people do you know that are depressed? How many people look like they are enjoying themselves, and you know better? How many people serve Jehovah because they are scared of dieing? How many people do you see that have legitimate talent go to waste, because they were not allowed to have an education to fulfill their dreams?

My dad comitted suicide, because the "new system" did not come true. How many people are wearing out waiting for a dream that will not come true? Do you want to be one of them?

with the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.

i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.

should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.

Xena, sorry your sister is so cold hearted. That is what I have decided I hate most about the JWs. That rotten sence of "I'm better than you." A Ministerial Servant once told me Jehovah came before his wife. And even though he loved her, if she said she was no longer a JW, he would not speak to her any more. Now how cold hearted is that?

When I returned from visiting him and his wife, I knew this religion and I were about to part for good.

I have had a hard time learning to just be myself, and I am certain I am not quite there yet, but I do feel better. Sorry Xena if I rattled on too much.

my wife just called me at work to inform me the same 2 elders that paid us a visit the other night stopped by this morning ( while i wasn't home, of course!).

they said they wanted to talk to her about the way she felt about the organization.

she basically said the same things i did and they told her that there would be a letter of disassociation read at the next meeting.
