i'm so tired of seeing this crap everywhere.
The law does NOT say that Churches, religions, or clergy has to perform, accept or condone same sex marriage. Only States. You know chruch is still separate from state, right?
here are a couple of ways that come to mind:.
-- suppose a married gay couple, or even one of the partners, starts studying the bible with jws and decides he wants to baptized?
would the jws require him to get a divorce?

during the wt session, the org admits that the actions of eldubs can cause an eventual shortage of "qualified " brothers, and it has.
they speak of a lack of teaching as the cause.
in reality, it's the legalism and control issues within the org itself that have caused a shortage of men who are willing to reach out.
DS I had the exact same experience. Before I was married I had a seasonal job. in the summer I rarely got more than 4 hours of FS, but in the winter I easily got 20 to 30. This disqualified me. When my job changed and I regularly got 10 hours I was visiting other congregations a lot to meet new people (girls) so I was told I could not be recommended since I didn't "support " my congregation.
so how much do you understand about brainwashing, its application and effects ?
essentially lures people into its grasps and then brainwashes them for exploitation and manipulative purposes by using mental indoctrination techniques.. here's a quick quiz to take to answer some of these questions.

i see one judge gets it right.

i went on my tablet today and clicked "yes" that i attended the convention (they probably tracked my ip and two elders will show up on my door step).
i scanned through the new brochure on bringing those who have left back.
i noticed that not once they mentioned anyone who was df!
Remember there is another group of people we don't see on this website, mentally in but physically out. I think this is for them. as already mentioned once someone is mentally out, this drivel won't sway them.

for those that haven't watched the new cult propaganda "what is true love" video from the convention releases there is a small line in the video that confirms the stance is to shun your family members who are df'd despite the official line from the borg being family ties remain only the spiritual relationship changes.
around the 37 minute mark of the video the character john tells liz how not associating with his brother who is dfd was the right choice to make.
i've had my still in family repeatedly deny that the jws teach to shun family despite repeated watchtower articles stating just that.
i saw a rumor a few weeks ago on reddit that the new imitate jesus convention is supposed to present new light and clarified understandings on the disfellowshipping/disassociation practices.. supposedly, if this rumor has any truth to it, there will be a talk given at the convention about how we should not be strict like the pharisees in how we shun people, loosening up some of the jw rules about this practice.. has anyone here heard anything about this or have more info on it?.
have you noticed the article entitled "watch your associations in these last days" in the new august 2015 study watchtower?.
unless i'm reading it wrong, or somehow misinterpreting it, it is saying that we should be kind to intentional breakers of god's laws inside and outside the congregation, including fornicators, but that we must not be close associates with them.. are they already preparing for a shift in their disfellowshipping practices?.
here are the relevant paragraphs:.
I don't think this is new.
i recall hearing it said that our only friends are inside the congregation, those outside are acquaintances. basically don't be rude to worldly people since they need to preach to them, but at the same time, don't be their friends.
