Thanks for that VM44.....It just looked so odd seeing a modern day picture of a family bible study studying the bible with no bible.But I guess it is nothing new,just getting worse.

Being disappointed in my self was always with me.The door to door work was a night mare for me ,being on the ministry school was very stressful.Commenting,and they never made you feel good about yourself.I will have problems for the rest of my life because of being a jw....Even posting here is hard to express my self.They say cause you are not doing enough you are not blessed.Sure....I did love Jehovah and always talked to him about widening out....They don't let people be them selves at all.You have to be molded to be copy's of each other...

and i found myself writing my experience and it got a bit long so i am posting here.
i am sorry i cant tell you my story more specifically but we have been front-page news in our area to do with our beliefs and some of the steps i have taken more recently to show my disgust at the injustices have been unique so it would be easy to recognise me.

Cautious Newcomer

i have been puzzled over some of the teachings for many years but as i seemed to be the only one querying things among my local jw's i felt as if i was going crazy.
i was very relieved to find this site, a few months ago, full of evidence to back up my findings, and so much more.. i am so grateful to you all.. i do not want to leave the organization until i have planted some seeds in my family to open their eyes.

Welcome.So glad to have you.I'm still active,but only a little.I'm fading very slow because of friends and family.I'm still learning many things about the org and it is a little hurtful to say the least.We have to be very careful of the things we may want to bring up to friends.We need to be very quiet when we want to scream it all out..Good luck to you....you will love it here...

by chasson ini have a lot of consolation magazines that i could scan.. if you want a particular issue for research, tell me and i will scan it, and you can tell to the board more what are your research, so everybody will have more insight.. .
here is one of this magazine concerning the madison square garden incident.
this incident is connected with the olyn moyle's trial and it is interessant to see the vision of rutherford concerning this.. he tried in this magazine to excuse the usher, because what he said on stage was "the word of jehovah", so nobody must stop the "spreading of the word of god".

How can you test whether you have broken free of the mind control
by cantleave init's been less than a year but i think i am nearly there.. i can read through a mag or sit through a meeting and instantly see through the bs.. i can watch the news without thinking is this a part of the composite sign.. i see people for what they are without trying to pigoen hole them.. i'm not worried what the elders think.. however,.
i still show too much interest if i see something about a jw in the media.. i notice kingdom hall if driving through a new place.. i still want to stop and say hello if i see a group of witnesses on the street.. how do you guys and gals measure the progress of your exit from the cult?.

I agree with Changeling.The longer we are part of the org,the more it become part of our lives.Mind control effects our thinking every day.I would like the good things I learned to stay with me....I would always like to be a Bible reader...but with out something controlling my every move and thought.....What a good question...
