todays Apostate email to my family
by rwagoner inevery once in awhile i need to vent to my jw family...it is hardly ever pretty and serve no purpose other than to make me feel better...*lol* .
i sent this today after re-reading blondies post on the article for todays watchtower study on apostates :-) .
i also still respect your belief in jehovah but not in the "society".

Dr. Phil is the most popular person on TV right now and I happen to be in love with the guy and his advice.
And TR, I'm glad you added your last comments as I would have been disappointed if you didn't like him
In my experience, the people who don't like Dr P's advice are the people who need it most. Yes, it is common sense but he presents it in such a comical way, usually, that it hits people in the heart...or in the butt....whichever needs to be hit. Some people need to be intimidated...as in over controlling people...husbands, bullies, organizations and yes, even some women. Some need to be reminded what common sense is.

Actually the statistics (if you can believe statistics) are 1 in 4 women in the US have been molested...that is reported cases.
I think for boys it is 1 in 8.
Along with the other points about abuse within the JW's, I would like to add this. For ex-jw's you know the KH is supposed to be a safe place, a spiritual paradise, a group of morally clean Christians, etc. Most JW's will admit that there are molesters, but believe they are a rarity. Since no one can talk about it, how would anyone know the extent of the problem till now. JW's expect there would be very few molesters in the org. and more importantly, they believe they would be removed, disfellowshipped, reported to authorities, etc. If we hear of a case in our town, we still assume that is a rarity and blame it on the local elders not doing their job correctly. This organization has boasted of its moral cleanness and its ability to change the hearts of all sorts of people; murderers, rapists, alcoholics, and yes, molesters. AND most JW"s believe that is true and they don't know the facts about the rehabilitation history of abusers....so they just go on in their little protected world thinking this is really a worldly problem, a Catholic problem...but it can't really be a problem in the WTS.
Well I am rambling...felt the need to vent...yes, I am still a JW but on my way out and disgusted with the close-mindedness of JW's on this subject.

Back in the 70's, Jw's weren't supposed to put wedding pictures in the newspaper. I don't know if that has changed. But there was nothing wroong with putting in wedding anniversary pictures. Can't figure out the difference/

LOCAL CHURCH DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE HARASSED
Dozens of stuffed lambs were placed on Jehovahs Witnesses church doors across the nation two weeks ago to signify children purportedly raped and molested within the church.***Othellos Kingdom Hall was one o the church doors on which a lamb was placed. The church has been named in a civil suit through the US District Court against the elders of that congregation, following the conviction of local church member Manuel Beliz for the rape and molestation of Erica Rodriguez. Beliz was sentenced to 11 yrs. In prison.***Rodriquez, now in her 20s, claimed Beliz molested her from age 4 to 11 before her family moved to CA. She contends the abuse occurred as a result of WT policy of not reporting crimes and elder negligence.***She is not alone in her condemnation of the church. Seven other plaintiffs in the US and Canada have filed similar suits against their churches and WT.***But is the Othello cong. To blame? Rodriguez herself stated that the church knew nothing of the molestations until she moved out of state and told elders at her Sacramento, CA church, whom she alleges also molested her and threatened to disfellowship her if she went to the police.***Is putting a stuffed lamb on a church door the answer? That act borders on harassment and could, in the long run, possibly damage Rodriguezs chances in court.***Bill Bowen, the founder of Silent Lambs, an organization dedicated to fighting pedophilia within the JW church, along with soap Lake resident Richard Rawe, has been adamantly pushing Rodriguez and the others to file lawsuits against the church. The question is, whats in I for Bowen and Rawe?***Its one thing to fight for justice, but when that fight involves bringing notoriety to yourself rather than to the victims, how is that going to promote your cause?*** The Othello cong has been noted in newspapers nationwide and was the main focus of a report on NBCs Dateline in which the Othello water tower was prominently shown at the beginning of the report.***Is this any way for Othello to be seen by others across the country? Or any other city for that matter?***The church did not molest Rodriguez. Beliz did and he is now serving his sentence for that crime.***Its time for Rodriguez to move on with her life and for others to stop using her for their cause. She had her day in court and justice was served the Adams County Superior Court.

The correlation between The Matrix and the WTS is tremendous.Contemplate some of the similarities:
Agents= elders....Police= ministerial servants....Zion=JWs who have left (they pose a threat to the WTS)....Cyper=JW who has left but decides to go back...Neo= JW who is tired of being controlled and wants to get out
Statements with a connection to WTS: 3 agents in meeting with Neo...doesn't this look like a committee mtg? Agent pulls out a file (secret file), says "We have had an eye on you. You've been living a double life." AND "You can't speak."
Matrix is not real. Similiar to Ray Franz's explanation about the governing body bein a perception or illusion. It is not what we (JW's) have always thot it was.
The employer says to Neo, "If you are not one of us, you are one of them. (WTS vs. Zion)
The agent says to Neo, "I know you wish to do the 'right thing'. To bring a known terrorist to justice (like reporting a sinning bro). Another comment by someone was, "It's our way or the highway."
Morpheus says to Neo, "I am trying to free your mind, let go of fear, boube, disbelief. Free your mind."
Black cat= Dejavu = Trinity says, "Dejavu happens whenever they change something."
Morpheus says to Neo, "I now you're afraid of us. I can tell you how it is going to be..a world without rules where anything is possible.
So that's my take on the movie...another one that really brings visions of the WTS and life as a JW is The Truman Show.
