  a nuclear reactor is built in such a way, that when operating normally, you take out all the moderator rods.

  so if these radioactive materials are released into the environment, yes, radioactivity was released, but no, it is not dangerous, at all.

  when the uranium splits, it generates a neutron (see above).

  WASHINGTON - The Transportation Security Administration finds itself in Congress' crosshairs yet again, as two TSA officials took to the Hill to defend their agency's use of advanced airport screening machines Tuesday. The latest TSA testimony comes on the heels of revelations that they made a "calculation error" in safety studies of the screening machines, reports Wired magazine. The flawed results showed radiation levels 10 times higher than expected.

  In addition to radiation safety concerns, the two TSA officials once again had to defend against privacy questions, as they have still not apparently allayed fears that the incredibly detailed body scan images the new screening machines take will fall into the wrong hands. They said imaging machines at airports have software that prevents images from being retained, stored or transmitted........

  here in the u.k. i'd recommend shelterbox, perhaps some u.s posters could suggest other credible american organisations?.

  im a father, if my kids were to call me by my first name id find that wierd.

  we address judges with "your honor" and various other titles, so why on earth would we call the almighty god by his first name?

  Jews won't say The Name period. x-tians and Jews substitute titles, jw's use an adultertated form(ditto for Messiah) and there's no concensus among messianics and others. But the Creator obviously thought his name was important. Humans thinking that it doesn't matter has led to thinking that his instructions must not matter either. What is it that is hard to understand about "Thou Shalt Not?"

  Jared Loughner may have been influenced by occult

  In messages left on the internet before the shooting Loughner, 22, revealed himself to be a social outcast with paranoid, nihilistic beliefs and a fixation with grammar. At a public meeting with Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords three years ago he asked: "What is government if it doesn't exist?"

  It left the politician baffled.

  According to the Southern Poverty Law Centre, a US civil rights group, Loughner's language and beliefs appeared to resemble those of David Wynn Miller, a Milwaukee-based activist who believes that the US government uses grammar to control people's minds.

  Miller, 62, a retired welder, has described himself as a plenipotentiary judge, ambassador, banker, genius and King of Hawaii, and invented his own form of grammar called "truth language", that is said to set people free of the government.

  FBI agents combing through Loughner's life will also explore whether he was an enthusiast of the occult after a fake skull was found at his home, sitting in a plant pot with shrivelled oranges. There were candles next to it in what appeared to be some form of shrine.

  The skull was concealed behind camouflage sheeting outside the home he shares with parents Amy and Randy in a middle-class area lined with palm trees. Classmates and neighbours described Loughner as "creepy" and "an emotional cripple," and said he used to ask teachers questions about mind control in class.

  They said he was an atheist who also believed that Nasa space shuttle missions, which have been flown by Miss Giffords' astronaut husband Mark Kelly, were faked.........."

  Well I agree with Lady Lee up to a point - and it's going to get a lot worse as there is a minority culture here that are "leftists" politically and that are given a platform, but that are really just conceited, self-indulgent jackasses who attempt to marginalize or otherwise silence any whom that hold up a mirror for them to see themselves. I remember a TV show years ago on Sunday mornings that I think was called "Conversations," where various deep thinkers were interviewed. One of them, I can't recall his name - but he was pretty high up in the State Department. He talked about WWI and the fact that it almost wiped out a whole generation of German male youth - which destabilized the whole of German society, leaving only the Nazis and old Von Hindenburgs a few years later. The same thing is basically happening in American with the demasculinization that's been going on for decades leaving women and other pseudo-masculine types that act like rabid animals to fill the void.
