  The problem is, imho, these pagan religions are doing the baptizing on the one hand while eating a ham sandwich on the other. The idea from the beginning was not to save and convert the heathen. It was to be a light to them. In many of these cultures they have traditions that go right straight back to the Tanakh. If you look at the history of missionary successes, it's been colossal failure.

  If you don't want to follow the words of Messiah and the NT writers that explain the Tanakh, I'd say you're in for heavy judgment regardless of whether you are of the lost tribe remnant or pagan stock. In the end, you're viewed as pagan.

  Believing in G-d or a messiah is no free ticket to paradise. The bottom line is that it's all about regathering the remnant of Israel from all the pagan nations into which they were assimilated and adopted their religions. That means all the religions of this world are pagan regardless of whether they cloak themselves in an x-tian veneer but don't follow the Tanakh be they Jew, Muslim of x-tian. Granted, some pagans will be brought along like out of Egypt, but it is the remnant of Israel to whom the NT was addressed which is why there are so many sects and denominations that can't understand it - but there are some within those groups who can and who are of the lost tribes.

  a win for the olympic gold metal in london.. when i heard the news this morning, they said that the us flag fell "while she was singing the national anthem.".

  does anyone have a link to her actually singing it?

  Why Do Introvert Elders Even Bother, What's Their Game?

  something that has troubled me for some time, why do introvert personalities reach out for the office of overseer?.

  this personality does not help with shepherding the flock (other brothers pick up their slack, their too shy for judicial committes), they are not upbuidling for the brothers and sisters (their long lost stuttering problem resurfaces when asked to call m.i.a.

  congregation memebers) and they are useless for widows and orphans (i can't help little father-less davie, my online role playing games are all time consuming!

  And if they did, I wonder if they think CT Russell was the last pastor on Earth?

  They didn't call him "Shepherd" Russell.

  It seems they just substituted elder/overseers for pastors.

  They're just as guilty. Thinking that their own lies and misinterpretation of Scripture constitute higher educatiion and everything else is demonic. I've had the pleasure the last few days of engaging them on the street and saying "Get your Bibles out," which they have been very reluctant to do.
