1. Most denominations, and some other churches as well, have a "Congregational" form of church government where all power resides and emanates from the congregation, with the members of the Board of Directors (Deacons or Trustees) elected by popular vote. Often the Trustees are the Board members, having authority over land and building issues, with the Deacons over the spiritual affairs of the Church. They have brought the "Corporation" or secular "Democratic" form of government into the church.
2. Some churches have been established with the pastor as the sole authority, and the Board clearly subservient to his direction. One pastor said to me, "Yes, I am a dictator, but I am a benevolent dictator." Too often this thinking has come from a negative experience of having to deal with a Board controlled by influential, spiritually immature people. When a pastor is put in the unrighteous and untenable position of being directed by, and accountable to people who often are not discipled, or immature Christians, this pastor often says, ‘Never again!" And then forms a church government that is just as unbiblical.
We can find no Biblical basis, in either the Old or New Testament, for either of these extreme forms of government. As a matter of fact, whenever the people in The Old Testament attempted to institute a "Democracy," God intervened with harsh judgment. Consider the following accounts:.............

Anyone here on their own found a bible most true to original language?
by EndofMysteries inokay, let alone which scrolls it was translated from, in reading a hebrew scriptures old testament interlinear, i am not too happy.
it shows the hebrew word, the english translation, then the phrase in it's bible.
genesis 5:2 - he created them male and female, and blessed them and called them adam in the day they were created.

Dubs are trapped like those outside who see things that their senses don't want to believe. They're too concerned with football scores to be conceerned with what's being put in the water or the aluminum dioxide that's being sprayed over their heads, and told they have a mental problem if they ask questions. It's all about information control, security and $$$. Read the wt, listen to mainstream news and try to ignore the rumors and "inconvenient facts." Go to meetings, field circus etc. Go to football games, discuss the weather, etc. Just ignore the rumors and facts. It just can't be that bad.

Major Sponsor Cuts Ties With Tiger Woods
(Dec. 13) -- Global consulting firm Accenture PLC has ended its relationship with Tiger Woods, marking the first major sponsor to cut ties altogether with the golfer since his alleged infidelities surfaced and he announced an indefinite leave from the sport to work on his marriage.
In its first statement since the Woods' scandal erupted, Accenture said Sunday the golfer is "no longer the right representative" after the "circumstances of the last two weeks." The move ends a six-year relationship during which the firm credited its "Go on, be a Tiger" campaign with boosting its image significantly. Accenture has used Woods to personify its claimed attributes of integrity and high performance.

Woods' wife buys island home in Sweden

STOCKHOLM -- Tiger Woods' wife bought a six-bedroom house on a small island near Stockholm that is reachable only by boat.
Stenake Johansson, chairman of the Residential Association on Faglaro island, told the Associated Press on Saturday that Elin Nordegren became the owner on Dec. 1.
"Elin Nordegren has bought it, but I don't know how much Tiger has signed on to those papers," said Johansson, adding that his organization is still awaiting all the paperwork.
Johansson could not confirm the house's reported price of $2.2 million and said he didn't know whether Nordegren and Woods planned to move in.
There have been unconfirmed reports the couple may be headed to Sweden to escape the worst of the media frenzy. Nordegren's father, radio talk show host Thomas Nordegren, said Saturday he doesn't know if that's true.
