The hypocrisy in this religion amazes me. He doesn't want to be with you because you are a sinner and are going to die at A, yet he is going behind your back and cheating on you? Amazing. Haven't read the whole thread yet, still on page 1. But I'm sorry, cognac. That's especially hard with two little ones.

It may have something to do with the fact that so many of their followers are getting older and are retired or working less. My grandparents stopped working this year (in their 80s) and instantly started pioneering.

im sure there is, so if it is obvious to those not a witness, why hasnt the government stepped in to help people like the russian government.

It's interesting to me that when they want to be persecuted to make the scriptures apply, they claim they are persecuted and hated by everyone. Yet there's always that part before district conventions where they discuss how much hotel staff love them for being clean and well behaved, and how people come up and tell them how well behaved and well dressed their children are, and how much everyone loves them.
I really don't think they're as hated or as loved as they claim. There's the occasional joke, and the occasional person who thinks they are nuts, but in my experience, they're not even on most people's radar.

Why most young/teen JW's are born-in's?
by XPeterX inage 8-18 or maybe older.why won't you find young people or teens in the world who want to learn about the jw's without being taught by their parents?i mean c'mon guys we all know that the majority of the jw youth are jw's because their mothers,fathers or both told them about the org.any thoughts?.

I remember in one of my congregations there was a teenager who came in on his own...he was probably like 12-13 at the time? Then when he was probably about 18-19 he DA'd himself, never knew why as I was gone and out by that point, too. But that was the only time I've ever seen anyone under 18 come in by themselves.

by RULES & REGULATIONS init was always stressed that the five weekly meetings were like the fingers on your hand.
each one was just as important as the next.
which of the meetings were the most boring,bothersome and difficult to listen to?

I never really understood why they had to call it 5 separate meetings either.
Also, I forgot to mention that while I liked book study (in comparison to the rest) it could suck if it was at someone's house who was not very welcoming...or if it was at a house where the bathroom was right next to the living room and had no fan. That was always fun...

Book study was the one I hated the least. It was short, I had less social anxiety because I knew the people better, and there were usually treats after.
Sunday meetings seemed so long because they were in the middle of the day.
I guess the service meeting was the most boring/long...the ministry school at least was sometimes entertaining (even though sometimes painfully so) watching people do their parts.

Real xmas tree for the first time
