  White supremacy is an ideology of peace

  i'm tired of hearing these constant attacks on white supremacists after the events in charlottesville.

  why are moderate white supremacists being lumped in together and sharing the blame for the actions of one reprehensible man that misinterpreted the ideals of white supremacy and became violent?

  clearly the motivation of such attacks on white supremacists is nothing other than racism.

  Sure, I can see how it is less of an indictment of someone's moral integrity if they were a white supremacist in 1860 vs today, but that makes the underlying ideology no less repugnant.

I think historians and sociologists/philosophers etc will look at the particular time in history and if there were any people who were raising consciousness against something, they will judge that a particular individual was more reprehensible in believing it. So for example someone who lived in Bible times is less likely to be judged for accepting slavery than someone who lived in the late 1800s.

  Therefore, there is no excuse for violent Islamicists who live today. Period.

  to date JWism has defined my life and i hate that TRUTH

  and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

  but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

  how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

  I wish we could set up a charity for ex cult victims - victims of shunning '- in his memory. I live in the UK, but I feel like a charity that could provide free emergency councilling for those in this situation would be such a wonderful thing. I know we have the Samaritans, but sometimes it's difficult for people to really understand the pain, if you haven't been there.

  ok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.

  all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.

  not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

  An interesting and still available piece of research by French exJW'S on the subject of Russell's being a mason. The conclusion seems to be not, given that some of his ex-mason Bible student readers had to correct anachronisms in his writings.

  Peteza If I didn't take care of my aged or sick dog or cat, I would be thought of as a cruel person but God apparently intended for animals to get sick and grow old and die.

  And Pete the more we learn about animals, ie that monkeys, Apes, Elephants, dogs etc have " mirror neurons" or are built to feel empathy just like us, the crueler this idea that they should suffer and die seems.

  Some Good News About Me (Although Anthony Morris Will Be Furious)

  just wanted to share with you some good news i'm really excited about.

  i have been accepted for university to study psychology and counseling.

  my goal is to become a counselor and, in time, to specialize on treating those who have left high control relationships/groups like we all did.. it'll take a few years before im qualified but studying in university has been a dream of mine since i was 12, which was systematically dashed to pieces by watchtower.. .

  Congratulations!

  We desperately need people trained to help cult victims ...who would think this could be such a problem in the twenty first century? Might be worth brushing up on knowledge of how Islamic extremist groups work too, although I know the therapy will be the same whatever the high control group.

  Will there be no pain or limited pain?

  If there isn't we will all be walking around with no legs and arms after a while. Imagine sitting too close to the fire: you don't know you are because you can't feel pain....so you start to burn..but you don't know you are because you can't feel pain etc etc... you get the picture.

  My main question would be: If there is no suffering or pain in paradise, would we loose our sense of empathy and what would happen to us if we did, what would paradise relationships be like?

  "The impartiality of Jehovah" was always ludicrous. Even if you explain the obvious prejudice against anyone who wasn't an Isrealite by using the foreshadowing of Spiritual Isreal and a people for Jesus, there were so many other examples.

  The obvious preference over the ruling classes. One example:Moses Midianite wife was A-OK but Phineas was condoned for spearing a couple (in front of Moses) because the husband had married a Midianite wife.

  Hollywood messed up another one

  i am a big superhero fan and was looking forward to "the defenders".

  the first two episodes are great but then ... liberalism happens.

  one of the heroes (luke cage, big black guy) goes on this crazy rant, like a liberals wet dream of the bravehearth speech.

  This site is filled with some of the same empty-headed thinking that filled Watchtower land. You blame the world for your lack of knowledge, and crown your misinterpretation of things as truth. It's just about a stupid TV show, but you've taken a tiny thing and made a vehicle for hating a group of people...all because you were too lazy, ignorant of even just stupid to know something idiotic about a comic book series from 1972.
