I love middle Eastern food. I'm definitely going to dive further into this channel if they post recipes.
Thanks Uni !

Anna Marina I pronounce it fal A fel. With the "A' rising up and the 'fel" going down. I might be wrong tho😳
my wife and i have been together for 12 years.
married for 6. she was born into the truth, i studied for 2 years before we got married.
we would attend meetings on a weekly basis, go to conventions, and memorial every year.
But telling the elders about adultery does not necessarily result in trouble for the adulterer.
^^^ This.
In my experience it's the partner who has the best "back up" who wins (ie most influential family).
Make sure, whatever you do, it reflects well on you. Because when you do fall in love again, you don't want to scare her off by being vengeful. You're better off without her if she behaved like that. Get therapy I'd highly recommend it, too, to help deal with the pain and anger.
what kind of games should we play on this discussion board?
this forum needs to be more interesting.
any ideas?
Punk 😂😂😂
One flew over the cuckoo's nest.
Edit: That showed my age so here's one that doesn't:

the watchtower writing staff often tweaks the application of a scriptural lesson to their benefit.
this can be seen in this recent article of theirs: .
first, in their explanation of the parable, they do mention "religion" in the original setting (bold letters below): .
My take on that is that it's disgusting no. 1 and no.2 is how can witnesses be so foolish as to not understand the true message?
I would have none of it. I always hated their attitude to charity and became a nurse so I could be of use to others (constantly feeling guilty for being paid for it, of course). I did, however, give to charity regardless.
They also took out John 8 the woman who committed adultery being forgiven by Jesus.

in march, the criminal court of ghent, belgium fined the congregation of jehovah’s witnesses (jw) for “inciting discrimination and hatred or violence against former members.” the case centered on the jw practice of “disfellowshipping.” while the court’s sensitivity to the individual impact of shunning is laudable, its decision regrettably assaults the freedoms of religion and association.. first, some background on jw beliefs and disfellowshipping.
jw was founded in the united states over a century ago and is headquartered in new york state.
Simon Who really cares about the name calling part? It's laughable to be called "evil" from a religion that counts the Yorkshire Ripper as an accepted member
😂You had me on the floor with that one.
True enough the name calling bit is a red herring. Calling someone mental or evil is hardly "hate speech" imho.
If it were my kids would be in court every week ....😜

Simon I can understand if you want to keep JW.net as it is. Your beautiful, bratty, sometimes loving, sometimes unruly baby.
But it would be wonderful to keep - I'm not sure how to term it - the past posts etc, as a whole, as a large piece of data, for posterity. Perhaps your kids, or Atlantis, or anyone you trust, really. Not to operate it as a forum, but to peruse the 'back catalogue'.
We all know it's a goldmine for research for all things Watchtower.
But as a piece of "social history", one day, it will be fascinating
the jehovah's witnesses have formally signed up to the national redress scheme for survivors of institutional child sexual abuse, more than a year after they were named and shamed for holding out.the federal government has announced another 34 organisations have joined the compensation program, allowing 37 stalled applications for financial support to finally be processed.more than 11,800 redress applications have been received so far, with around half having been processed and almost $530 million in payments made.a total of 526 organisations have signed up to the scheme, along with the commonwealth and all state and territory governments.the jehovah's witnesses were one of six of the original hold-outs, named by social services minister anne ruston in june last year.access to government grants were cut off, and the government sought to challenge the charitable status and tax concessions offered to such organisations as a punishment.
"we think that these strong sanctions have obviously had an impact on the jehovah's witnesses reconsidering their decision not to join," senator ruston said.. read more: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-10/jehovahs-witnesses-sign-up-to-sexual-abuse-redress-scheme/100449204.
to beter understand the background:.
I find the press release explaining the U-turn on joining particularly repugnant.
Joining because it's the law gives them plausible deniability with their members.
"We joined because it's the law Sister! Not because we have any CSA problems. Perish the thought!"
