  Again with the "disaffected former members". Who else but former members are going to understand how the group works. Its also interesting how all "former members" appear to be disaffected to some degree, cant think why!

  This will be the next watchtower scandal - after CSA, blood and shunning (particularly of minors) that governments will or should be investigating at some point. The big con, or 'vow of poverty' the "free workers" sign, in order that watchtower doesn't have to contribute to social security!!

  Half hearted JWs compared to past generations

  is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

  when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

  Gorbachov I asked him, how succesfull the cart work is, because nobody is interested and walk by.

  He told me with big eyeballs and an irritated voice: "It's a great succes, because Jehovah sees what we do".

  Its all "me, me, me" isn't it? All about the Browney points they can win for themselves, not about doing their best to reach the hearts of their brother!

  JW Gone Bad Tony Morris was definitely dismissed for being "not open to any agreement"...with the alcohol issue being a side problem as part of the evidence against him.
  

  I think that defintely makes sense though, even though it almost certainly will never be proven one way or another....
  
  

  DOC Ever since the photoshopped pics of GB with beards was posted (without a disclaimer that it was PS), I've become more skeptical of some things if read here first.

  Hey DOC some of them legitimately do have beards now! I know from JW Broadcast Marc Saunderson has, for instance.

  JW Gone Bad "...naw, I really am not a true Jehovah’s Witness believer, though I do enjoy being in front of the camera...in fact I believe WT is as guilty as hell in their mishandling of CSA cases!"

  Now I can defintely see him admitting to Watchtower policy bearing responsibility for CSA within the organisation, either on or off mike, to journalists (especially attractive ones!). But saying he "does enjoy being in front of the camera" and is not a believing Jehovah's Witness, sounds more like Watchtower/JW embelleshment and (sad attempt at) character assasination!

  in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

  I have never been so ashamed of my country nor so envious of your US constitution. I hope the younger generation never takes it for granted.

  However given that Biden Harris pressured Facebook to suppress the free speech of Americans and now we have an authoritarian socialist prime minister throwing people in jail for 20 months for posting (non violent) memes & criticising Elon musk for exercising and protecting free speech and political fairness and the Scottish parliament attempting to make misgendering a hate speech "non crime crime" which is put on your record, despite not being a crime, I think we all have a bloody lot to worry about.

  NB Agree LaFrancia - in the UK I very much doubt you could get any kingdom hall for as little as £100,000, let alone $100,000. Double that would be the cheaper end of the market.
