Interesting that Lloyd's most recent video, "My Beliefs Are Changing," has been up only two days and has 27K views. Whereas his previous eight videos have an average of only 7.2k views.

This is speculation, but maybe 20k of those 27k views are by Lloyd critics and Lloyd victims watching the slob disintegrate on video.

Ok I think many of us could hear this one breaking like a fart over a walkie-talkie. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes his cue from another pervy Brit who used to hide behind his "right on, politically correct" persona....Russell Brand. He too "changed his beliefs" when it looked as if his career would tank over abuse claims & became a Christian. Cedars too would be able to resurrect his career by teaching Christians how to debate witnesses & bring them to Christ. But Like Watchtower, money is Cedars real God.

I think for that reason the US and mainstream Christianity would be Cedars target. That kind of grift would be slim pickings in the JWs & in the UK which is a shadow of it's former self.... and we all know Watchtower doesn't tolerate any competition when it comes to the grift!

JW's home schooling over-representing

speaking to an old elder friend recently about his decision to home school his high school aged kids.. he claims that here in australia, about 30% of the students that log into online classrooms are jw's.

the others are disabled kids - who cant physically attend class and the rest are long distance students.. another generation of under-educated jw kids on the way..

Home schoolers on average do better than public schools, on par with private schools. It all depends on the parent and their priorities, kids mirror that. Home schooling in some regions of the world allow side stepping of oversight, the US is pretty strict on these things, requiring annual equivalency tests both at state and federal level, but Europe and I guess Australia, once you home school there are no further checks.

Now that i do find hard to believe. It certainly isn't the experience i hear over and again from home schooled ex jws. If home school kids do better than state schooled kids and as well as private schooled kids, then god help your school system. In Australia kids are mainly home schooled due to vast distances in the outback and they have professional teacher's teaching them, so its not quite the same as the mum and dad home schooling we think of in the US and the UK.

Lord Vienne where was that? What was the Phd thesis about?! Boy that will make his ego hit the roof! I wondered if he'd be chirping on about iicsa since its been in the news a lot in the UK (well what a wash out it was)Its come up over our horrific grooming/mass rape scandal. Keir Stalin and Labour have refused a Statutory national enquiry into the Pakistani muslim child grooming gang scandal because they claim iisca (and another equally useless enquiry that mentions the grooming ONCE) have already looked into it and that the latest town involved should have yet another toothless local investigation! Thing is the abuse is nationwide and these local ones dont have the power to supoena the officials that covered it up including the police, social workers,politicians etc on the grounds of "community cohesion" BARF

That would look right good for iicsa if it came out in the press that one of their core participants was a sex tourist and suspected groomer of teenage girls himself!

Canada exploring changes to tax rules that exempt religious organizations

the proposed change will revoke charitable status of canadian churches who have an anti-abortion position, and will not give tax exemptions to organizations whose sole claim is to promote religion, which is the basic claim for all jw related entities in canada.

Jan from Tam Or would churches that also engage in charitable activities be exempt? Most churches , certainly here in the UK , do strive to help people who are not congregation members in all sorts of ways

Jan I think it would only apply to religions whose "charitable" work involves promoting religion in a purely circular way ie in order to DIRECTLY gain converts(such as Watchtower). Ie not in the incidental way most religions who engage in charitable work aside from their faith, do.

That's my take anyway. I would imagine (or hope) the no anti abortion stance would involve charitable work solely on a pro life protest stance. (It would be awful if it were denied to charities that help young single mums to stay afloat, say). It would be crazy because I doubt there's one single religion out there that doesn't aim to help mums keep their babies. Or at least be supportive of that outcome.

I think Morris stepped down himself because he refused to go along with the new rules. Almost certainly made to sign an NDA in return for a lifelong home & "pension". At least imho.

we know that in africa warwick/watchtower is adopting a policy of more congregations with fewer publishers in each congregation.

this explains the growth of congregations in the 2024 world report.. cameroon world report 2019 vs. 2024.. with the same number of publishers the congregations grew by about 13%.. will there be many more curious cases out there?.

Could it be the reason Germany has way more publishers than Ghana, but a lot less congregations, may be because property is so much more expensive inGermany? Whereas in Ghana they may have congs in places that cost peanuts to build? Just a thought....
