but what amazes me is her jw family is accepting donations or has to resort to the very worldly people they look forward to being destroyed.

Steve2 They are mortgaged up to the hilt...they paid for the treatment themselves. After the initial treatment failed I am sure themedics came up with a myriad of other reasons she needed to stay but the real costs come in flying her back with all the equipment/ medics etc - I guessed they where praying if all went well she would be coming home on a regular flight...

Aspeger's syndrome, ASD and Autism - How do you know if you have it?

sorry ftb i didn't respond, but here is your post again and i will respond on this new thread.. i'm curious to know how you know you were born with asperger's syndrome.

it seems to be extremely hard to clinically diagnose, but popular to self-diagnose.

Oxytocin, the " cuddle chemical", boy do I get an excess of that stuff when I give birth! Love it! I was told by a psychologist that I " over identify" with suffering, too much empathy - actually its disabling as I feel pain - literally - and can black out when I hear someone scream in distress. I guess this is all about being social animals. Is autism connected with our intellectual abilities more??

However, folk with autism I know definitely are empathetic - blunt speaking sometimes, yes and like to do things in a certain order - but I find them very sensitive to others ONCE they understand what the other person requires/ feels etc, it seems to be that initial UNPACKING of the situation/ needs/ social requirements that can be problematic. Am I on the right track??

I am a great believer in evolutionary psychology, autism spectrum and associated issues seem to me to be what has enabled humanity to progress - its the key to how we began to " think different".... Its not for nothing that its associated with high IQ and other schizo typal behaviours with high levels of creativity...

Oh my...what a beautiful, smart kid....a poster asked recently what was the point of the cult. Is this, perhaps, the one and only situation where it might do some good? In giving a dying child hope? Of course not if it affects treatment plans but in this case - where there is no hope? I don't know. She's adorable 😿

And yes...it is despicable that the org & GB with their billions do not pay the fares home, a drop in the ocean to them...just sell a couple of gold apple watches!!!

Ahhh..sounds like what I call a real Christian....isn' t it great that people can really open their hearts to you without fear of judgement. Now times that by billions...all with their own loves, insecurities, experiences...can you imagine the ultimate being wanting to KILL them all for not thinking by the JW book?? Pah!!

Is the reasoning book no longer in use ?

i would like to know if witnesses are still using the reasoning book in the field service.

i am asking about it, because i had read that it is currently out of print, doesn't it??

Its been discontinued as a printed book - once current stocks have run out it will no longer be available. It seems the PDF is still available, but for how long?
