My fading suffered a miscarriage

i thought of successfully fading out, but suffered a miscarriage last week.

i gradually decreased the number of meetings i attended.

in the latter half of the year it became once a month, then once in two months, once in three months ….. last week, two elders who visited me, after their bla..bla..asked: “where will you go leaving the motherly organization—the only truth now available on earth?”.

I think you are reading too much into this.

Friday crucifixion?

it is my understanding that jws believe that the crucifixion occurred on friday.

however, luke 24:21 would seem to indicate that it couldn't have occurred any later than thursday.

how do you explain the seeming discrepancy?

The 'what' would be that His authority could be questioned since He wasn't in the "heart of the earth" for the length of time that He said He would be.

Don't mean to be facetious, particularly as I'm absolutely the least erudite person when it comes to this subject, but it's just occurred to me - Jesus was never in the heart of the Earth (earth?), since he was never buried.

One interesting note that got my attention that I wasn't aware of because I was too little (or asleep at the meeting) was in the early 1950's announcing why a person was disfellowedshiped. It said the announcement was important in the case of fraud, so that the congo would be aware and not be swindled themselves???

Did I understand arright, Lois L., (can't download now) it's important to announce the reason someone is DF in a case of fraud, in case others are swindled out of their money , but not say if there's a paedophile (and you have kids) because, you know, who cares about kids, right?

An Active JW Sister Modelling For Me

since leaving the borg i jumped both feet first into classes i've always wanted to do but was never "allowed" to.

two of which are life drawing and photography.

i've been studying for almost two years now and have seen more nude men and women in our classes than i care to remember.. today in the photography studio i was working in with three others (two women, one man) we were told we had a new person modelling for us.

of course the religion condemns homosexuality but did you know any gay witnesses?

i knew some bethelites that were very effeminate and i remember 4 women who were suspected of being lesbians by many in the congregation.

they eventually moved away and were very vocal against males, especially elders..

I am getting disfellowshipped

maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.

for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.

Just in case you want to meet with them and talk about your stance on disfellowshipping, you might find this handy.( I understand meeting them might be more about recording it for your parents, some choose to comply for family and of course that's entirely your prerogative).

Remember Also that in 1 Corinthians Paul was talking about socializing with a man who was living with his fathers wife! He also said it was from him and not from God at some point.

will not bow under from this peer pressure and throw my friends away just because they dont live exactly the way i live. This made them rather mad, as they they now see me as hypocritical and without remorse.

This made them MAD because you pushed a button with them and their guilt and cognitive dissonance that they know deep down shunning is an Christian act made them feel uncomfortable. They also don't like their loss of control over you.
