i can’t remember the last time i stayed in on new year’s eve.
every year we went out and made this date a real party.
it was a celebration that included a night out, a stay in a hotel , eating, drinking and dancing to live music!.
In with my kids. This was the worst year of my life. I lost my brother.
My upstairs neighbors lost their dad/husband in a bike accident last month.
Bloody awful year.

More school age children die of the common flu every year than will die of Covid-19. Do we shut down schools every winter and lockdown businesses??
We're not closing schools to protect kids, they're fine, but to protect teachers, parents and the community.
This is NOT just another flu....currently of the cohort in the UK that caught Covid19 at the same time as me 10% HAVE BEEN ADMITED TO HOPSPITAL and the NHS is almost at breaking point.

am so glad that here in the U.K. Fighting the virus, as well as the need for less destructive economic practices are not seen as political issues or “left” policies .

Politicizing this awful "two faced" pandemic is evil (2 faced because it goes through the very young in a day, the over 40s like a demon)...im a healthy 50 year old and it nearly KILLED ME😡 So take this pandemic seriously and yes I commend watchtower in this case for doing the right thing.

my brother (who is a witness) has been married for 8 years.
he and his wife (also a witness) got married young, but he never really tried in the marriage, but she also lost his trust early on.
he says that it was his fault though because he pushed her away.. anyways, he met this new girl (not a witness) and told his wife that he wanted to separate.
actually, no. if he had simply left his wife and never fornicated, and divorced her on incompatability grounds, he would not get disfellowshipped. if he and the girl abstain from sex until they are married, then all is well too.
But that is not a “scriptural divorce”. And therefore the new marriage is also not “scriptural”. In fact, not only would they not be free to marry in the Kingdom Hall, but by getting “married” to the new girl elsewhere, your brother would be committing adultery, since he was not “scriptural divorced” in the first place.

sometimes i would wonder why they remained as elders or even witnesses because they were successful men who made a good living and were highly respected because of their qualities.. that is a rather small group.
most elders that i know of aren’t the brightest bulbs in the sky.

i've had a few medical procedures.
once, i had a massive loss of blood and needed 6 units of blood to replace the loss.
however, i'm curious as to what ex's state to be their religion when filling out the required paperwork when being admitted into a hospital.
Medical staff will tell you that your religion is confidential and they will not discuss it with others.
Dont believe them.
Gossip is part of human nature...we evolved to gossip because we are pro social animals. I’d say maybe 3 out of every 10 medics can truly be trusted with confidential info and remain fully professional. When it comes to JW staff make that zero.
