A Real Man
by Vanderhoven7 inthe meaning of true love from a man.. by elizabeth rossi, freelance writer .
i hate to say this but most women will go their entire lifetime and never experience the meaning of actual true love.. it's even slightly depressing to think that most people will never understand how powerful this picture actually is; a prime example of how men should be treating their partner with everyday that passes.. we unfortunately live in a generation with men who have no idea what it takes to be a real man.. let me give you a couple examples of a real man ....... a real man asks about your day and genuinely cares about the answer.. a real man respects your boundaries and never forces you to anything you're not ready to do.. he makes time for you, and takes that time to learn and understand who you are as a person.. a real man consistently shows you the definition of effort with every day that passes.. he will call you randomly throughout the day just to check on you and your mental health.. a real man is undeniably committed to you and looks for new ways to fall in love with you with every day that passes.. he makes protecting your heart a number one priority.. a real man never makes permanent decisions based on temporary emotions.. he never confuses you on where you stand in his life.. a real man apologizes when he is wrong and stays true to his character.. he doesn't mind hurting other people's feeling to protect yours.. a real man gives you affection without sexual expectation.. a real man refuses to entertain any women that isn't you.. he has genuine intentions with you from day one and shows you how it truly feels to be a priority rather an option.. a real man will help you heal from the trauma that nobody apologized for.. a real man values you and would never put themselves in a position to lose you.. take my advice and wait for the man that never let's you fall asleep at night questioning your own self worth.. .

What if the man is fallible...not perfect and so is some of those things, even many of those things.... much of the time, but not all of those things all of the time
Is he then not worth being loved? I hope to god any husband of mine doesn't judge me so harshly....
He doesn't mind hurting other people's feeling to protect yours.
I hope to god not. Would that include his kids? His brother? His mother? Best friend? No person - not even your spouse - should get an automatic pass if they are wrong about something.

May I ask Christians on the board, I once asked a Jew if there's any record of the temple curtain being 'ripped in two' during an eclipse around the time of Jesus crucifixion....he said no.
Surely there should be a record of such a shocking event?

BB The stuff about living in nice places left behind by the dead always struck me as quite gruesome. But we grew up in a poor and downtrodden area, and the homes weren't ostentatious or in good shape. The thought of it all being crushed and buried would have been more to our liking. I guess that's just about as creepy.
Yes...I wasn't born in a poor and downtrodden area but I was born in the UK and believe me, if any of us had mentioned that whole thing about inheriting worldly mansions it would have gotten us in the back room so fast our feet wouldn't touch!!😳🤯Maybe it was a British thing. Life was less materialistic back then anyway.
In fact, despite our homes being modest, they were comfortable and homely and many of us were saddened we would loose them when everything worldly was destroyed. Even the treasures in the Louvre etc, let alone a 3 or 4 bed semi in the shires.

Vomit Eaters and Filthy Whores
by Sea Breeze inthe watchtower characterizes christians not affiliated with the watchtower corporation as vomit eaters and filthy whores: .
“how well they pictured the spiritual drunkards of christendom at the present time!
besides actual wine and intoxicating liquors, there are other things to intoxicate the priests and preachers in christendom so as to induce drowsiness in them, to make them reel, to confuse things before their religious vision, to induce them to belch out the vomit of spiritually filthy things” - w59 3/1 pp.

They're certainly the most judgemental mofos, considering they are specifically commanded NOT to judge.

NF I think one of the scandals about WT back in the day was that as a religion, they didn't have to pay property taxes on their Brooklyn Heights properties. Not sure if they were exempt from NYC rates/taxes/levies, whatever. Critics saw what everyone here knows: the WT was a tax exempt publishing company
Interesting. Thank you!
Having the WT move out of NYC was probably a huge boon to the city and the state.
Yes actually didn't think of that, it's certainly a drain on local government and therefore local residents (ie other businesses that big would be paying large sums in taxes).
Have you researched the finances of other denominations?
Vienne, with the exception of cults, you cannot compare Watchtower's opaque and frankly dishonest business model with most religions, who do at least give back to their community and to that of the poor and disadvantaged worldwide.
Watchtower donations are our business when those donating are being deceived (lies at convention's re: deficits ) and stolen from (Kingdom Hall snatches).

How does the Govering Body get enlightenment?
by no-zombie infrom the earliest of times of the catholic church's ecumenical councils were used to make major changes to its doctrinal direction.
decisions were made by bishops, they were ratified by the pope ... and it was done.
and the laity had to accepted them or not.. and while splinter catholic religions accepted most of these councils, non-trinitarian faiths which developed latter (of which jehovah's witnesses are apart) did not.

The Great Replacement Theory ;)
This seemed to be confirmed when almost all who were baptized after 1935 felt that they had the earthly hope. Thereafter, any called to the heavenly hope were believed to be replacements for anointed Christians who had proved unfaithful.
This always confused me. Given that anointed ones by their very definition are unlikely to "fall" out of
graceundeserved kindness, the number of replacements must have always been mighty small. Ok. Maybe we can accept there'll be a few (we did). But even in the 80s and 90s (when this theory was still believed by many) those numbers must have dwindled to nothing simply because all the anointed had mostly died.So how are there still being "replacements" created? And in such numbers!! Surely you have to be alive on earth to sin?! Or did this mean those with the heavenly calling were sinning up in heaven ??!!😳

Lloyd Evans Patreoff May 2024
by DerekMoors intime for this month's patreoff!
the fat one's numbers seem to be leveling off a bit, but we all know someone with his gravitational pull can't keep up momentum for long.. i made up another chart and used 356 for april because that's where he was on the 2nd.
also, this time last year was when he put out his "things are bad and i don't just mean what i look like naked" video and got a +187 bump.

Is there a thread for the next PatreOff yet?
Derek said he's really busy with work this month & can someone else run it for June?
I will if Toblerone5 can't do it. I think she's our natural for the job but I'm happy to if she's busy because she always does our charts so fabulously.
Congratulations Ozzie the maths whizz!🥰😂🍷🍷🍷Nice Shiraz for you (Barossa?)!
