What makes an apostate...

an apostate for witnesses?.

i only ask because we have had several conversations with family members who want to make sure we have not become "apostates".

a rumor has been going around that we have become, sign carrying, picketing kh's attending, leaflet printing apostates.

he has been ill for some time, but it was still unexpected.

he was never a jw and i didn't really have a close relationship with him, since he remarried after my parents divorced.

i reunited with him in the mid 90's after over 10 years of not seeing him.. .

Why did my old friend do this to our friendship? Please help me understand.

Your statement makes no sense, his choice prior to the WT was to be very good friends with her. Now he is breaking that because the WT tells him to because she is of satans world. Why are you making excuses for WT mind control?

First Time that I Didn't Go to the Memorial - Now Depressed

so this was the very first time in my whole life that i didn't go to the memorial.

my wife went, and she was sullen before and after... i know she wanted me to go.

i told her afterwards that if she wants me to go next year i would, but she didn't say anything.

It was weird for me not going for the first time about 4 years ago but what helped me is keeping things in perspective. The GB spends 364 days a year putting itself in a higher position then Jesus, then take one day no wait 5 minutes to recognize him at the Memorial. Is it the mere ceremony or is it following his example the best way to honor him?

The sooner you come to terms with what the Watchtower is the sooner you will move forward with your life.

i was talking with a friend of mine on the board yesterday and the discussion gave me the idea for this thread !

) and it seems as we were talking the thought came up that many of us when exiting the mind control of jehovah's witnesses we really come to appreciate the freedom to think how we want and be able to have access to other views which helps us to have a broader scope , or broader world view than just the tunnel vision of the wt society.
