JGnat Says Hi
by jgnat ini have been wandering around the board for a while now, and have decided it is time to contribute a bit of my history.
i have described my involvement with the witnesses as being from the outside looking in.
my sweet honey has been trying for two years to get reinstated.

Update & Moving on with life
by Coffee House Girl inhello all, just wanted to update you all on my further steps in the exiting process (a process that may never end in some respects).
to set up a context for my update: my story in a nutshel-.
did a quick fade in the fall of 2009 to start going to university and escape a very unhappy living situation.

DA used to be used for unbaptized DFing
by rebel8 indoes anyone remember this, or was it just a local thing?
all the time i've spent on these boards, i've never heard anyone mention it.
just curious.. when an unbaptized publisher was in a situation "warranting" dfing, they would announce from the platform that the person had been dad.

Update on "DA'd/DF'd"...
by Suraj Khan insince many of you were kind enough to give your responses, or at least share in my confusion, i wanted to take some time to share things that went down in the last few days in my family.. to recap, i was born-in but thankfully the hogwash never took.
i was actively dodging meetings by age 13 by faking illness, usually missing 20 to 25 days of school per year.
i left my family to attend college and was told by a family member that an announcement was made in my local congregation the following year that i was disassociated.

It was well before the 80's when I left as a teenager... I also can remember the definitions for DA were different. I am glad you have some answers to the "DA" .
Hope you can ask more questions about changes in the policy and get your brothers to actually think!
