just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.
congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.
congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.
I recall my dad speaking of a neighbor having someone from their church come to "help" them decide how much to pledge. This was in the 50's or 60's. I know this is not done now because it didn't work.
Do you think an oldtimer will remember those days before they became a witness and make the connection?

i'm not suicidal just fed up.. i did think of suicide (briefly), but as there is no painless way and it's not something i would willingly do just in case things would have been better the day after.

the blood issue wasn't an issue for me.
my best friend was on the blood committee for years and i could see many cases where either blood wouldn't have saved the person anyways (like when a person is in a serious car accident and their liver is in pieces), or blood actually killed the person and/or hindered recovery.. then my little nephew got leukemia.

we're on chapter 35. i think i've been assigned study duty because these obscure connections fly well over poor hubby's head.
