For some reason medical evidence that could prove or disprove (and be that second witness) what the child's claim is never considered. With all inappropriate information dispensed at the meetings, you would think that something mentioned regarding a first response to the police and collecting that evidence would be able to clear Jehovah's name (or not).

How many of you would actually believe a child abuser would let his crime be watched by minimum two witnesses?
by Thinkforyourself inin many closed religious cults, sects or globally widely spread religions, sexual abuse on big scale is revealed and covered up by the religious authorities.
in the jw, the culture is to deal with these matters within the org itself, and the rule is, "no crime can be proven without the presentation of at least two witnesses".
men made the rules, men commit these crimes and men defend them and even forse these children to meet and talk to their abusers.

Lots of good ideas here. An old thread here by a former member has quite a few, the search function here is pretty good, but I found this one using google.

Why is this an APOSTATE site?!?
by LaraK ini made a big mistake when signing up at this supposed website for jehovah's witnesses.
after reading some things on this site it has become apparent to me that this site is nothing put another pathetic site for apostates: people who betrayed jehovah, left the truth, and are so bitter about their experiene in the truth, and they are angry just like satan because they know they will very soon be dead at jehovah's hand!.
this website should be renamed something more fitting like "satan's playground" or a similar name that would get across the message of your site.. sincerely,.

You know these people need to get those hours in. If they get a disclaimer post in, they can show them to the elder (or family member) that they didn't know.

Try going to users at the top of the page, click on A. you may have to go through several pages till you find his name. I found his name by going to "last" and found it several pages later. For what ever reason The Best of section isnt well supported but the links under his name seem to be accessible.

Condolences... Take care of yourself. My mom died when I was young. I remember talking to her for several months after, it felt weird but normal at the same time.
Just let yourself feel it all.

Boogie; do have a solution for your perceived problem.. Do you want the hospitals to close the ICU or what? Give me a break, don't wear a mask but don't go visit your grandmother.

What's The Point?
by AllTimeJeff init's been 12 years since i submitted my resignation letter, and stopped playing by their rules.. in a spurt of manic rationality, i blew up the bridge, sky high.
knowing that the diseased organ would need to be forever removed, away from anything remotely functional in my mind, body, and soul.
lest i be tempted to return.... so, i left.

Jeff, I am bumping this thread... every post you made seems to make me think a little differently. We have more time to peruse the web right now, and when I found this post I figured self therapy is why I come here so often. Thank you for that thoughtful input.

Is this video about U.S. hospitals really true?
by The Fall Guy inthe reason i ask is that i got a call from a friend last week who had to go to one of the biggest hospitals in scotland because of an eye injury.. he said there wasn't one other single person seeking medical attention when he walked in - only medical staff standing around with nothing to do.
i was astounded, given the media reports.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=180&v=uzxhwyrkqtk&feature=emb_logo.

Many states have directives that no elective surgery takes place. Hoping to save beds for virus patients. I called my dr's office yesterday and had a telephone consult. I bet there aren't too many patients in his office either.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Around here the allergy season is ramping up with tree pollen. My burning eyes and congestion is normal this time of year. I still worry about Covid 19 exposure though as I am a senior and likely to have issues.
