  what is it with women?

  i swear, i only see women doing this.

  picture it--i'm patiently waiting in line at the local sack o shit and watching the woman in front of me stack her mountain of groceries onto the conveyor belt.

  now, the grocery store conveyor belts are not 100% conveyor belt--they all have 6 to 8 inches of flat space at the end of the conveyor.

  Oh lord I hate those people that sit and wait on those front parking spots too and hold up traffic. How I cuss at them like crazy. And no I am not talking about the handicapped or elderly. I am talking about the well-bodied people that I see do it on a daily basis here. There was one at the store yesterday that was waiting for a certain spot...no idea why. There were two other spots right beside the one he was waiting for. It just happened to be a few spots over. So I guess because it was just a bit further from the door it wasn't good enough so he had to hold up traffic and block my way from being able to back out. Oh I was fuming.

  How to teach the bible from a non biased view point?

  bieng raised a jw and out now....i have a very strange view point on the bible.

  living in the bible belt, however, my children are surrounded by it constantly.

  so i know eventually i am going to have to teach them the bible basics or they are going to learn it somewhere.

So I know eventually I am going to have to teach them the bible basics or they are going to learn it somewhere. Does anyone know of a good book that teaches the Bible from a non biased viewpoint? I would prefer something that even gives a historical background. I'd like my children to know the accuracy behind it from scientific viewpoints and historical viewpoints, not "spiritual" and "faith" mumbo jumbo.

  there is this girl at work who has been making it painfully obvious that she's interested, however i'm not interested in her.

  so far i'm just acting as though i'm not seeing any of the "making of eyes", "any excuse to talk" or other general flirting.

  Finally-free makes a good point. Try telling her that you don't date people you work with. And being honest saying that she isn't your type could work too.

  i knew of a handful (which is too many) that were molested by a jehovah's witness.

  it was not typical in my experience.

  Yes. I know of two "brothers" in this area that are child molesters, and both are still attending meetings, and in good standing so far as I know.

  Absolutely! The gossip in our congregation was terrible and constant. My whole family were victims.
