The WT view is twisted on all these issues. salty, are you speaking as a Christian to make JWs think or are you a JW wanting clarification on WT views? The body we are to discern is the Body of Christ, the Church. The context also includes the love feast and communion, so the historical background of divisions in the church relates to eating in an unworthy manner.

dos it really matter if someone drinks the wine and eats the crackers??!
by highdose ina big part of every memorial i ever went to was given to drumming it home that unless you were anoited you couldn't partake.
and everyone would be watching the "strangers" as their turn came, ripples of horror would go round the congregation if they dared to nibble or sip(!).
... but seriously what is the problem?

The WT is robbing its members of eternal life and a heavenly hope. The NT talks to believers and says that unless anybody is born again, they cannot see the kingdom of God (Jn. 3:3 NWT). It says that those who are led of the Spirit are born again. If one is not led of the Spirit, they are led of the flesh or Satan. The Bible does not limit born again to 144,000, but makes it a condition of eternal life. The 144K teaching is specious and based on proof texts out of context. All true believers can and should partake of the emblems (do this in remembrance of me, all disciples, not just an elite class closed in 1935?!). The anointed class vs other sheep (which actually refers to Gentiles, not elite JWs) is a false teaching of a false cult. There will be people on earth, but they are the ones who survive Armageddon. The great crowd in Revelation are martyrs in heaven. If the JW Memorial was not a sham and unbiblical, I would have freedom to partake as a born again Christian who has never been JW (thankfully, the grace of God). Since it is there turf and they would not 'get it', I think I will refrain and pray for them and hope to share some biblical insights after.

Slaves of the WT truly waste their lives ending up broken and lost for eternity. The same cannot be said of true followers of Yahweh in Jesus who have abundant and eternal life. The saddest thing is those who sacrificed all for Bethel thinking they were serving God and securing a place in paradise. This is why true Christians should pray for and reach out to those who are lost in a false cult.

I have 1000s of academic books on biblical Christianity/theology that make the WT pseudo-scholarship look pathetic (at least our scholars know Hebrew and Greek, unlike almost all JW writers). When Raymond Franz read 'Christendom's' commentaries at Bethel (he was the author of AID book), he saw how things were interpreted in context (exegesis), unlike WT eisegesis/proof texting out of context for preconceived error.
Christianity also has many magazine publications that are informative, interesting, biblically sound, etc. There are also ones for children, etc. The WT stuff is set up to guide people into pat WT indoctrination, not to think, not to study the Bible in context. JWs attract many uneducated, mentally ill people who need someone to think for them and give them a sense of belonging and purpose (Christian churches do the same, but without violating independent thinking and with the true Jesus who turns losers into leaders vs slaves of a manmade, evil organization).

As a 'born again' Christian attending (never been JW), should I make a point and partake or let the sham, sad excuse for memorial be ignored as invalid. How would a JW perceive a Christian partaking at their event? Would it help or hinder witness? Are there usually non-JWs, inactive ones? What is the best way to be a witness for Jesus here? Are they inclined to want to dialogue with the prospect after?

How many received the memorial invitation?
by IMHO inhow well is this territory being covered?.

I have never been a JW, but am a witness of Jesus who is YHWH (Acts 1:8). I have always had love and burden for JWs (it is one thing to be Hitler and go to hell; it is another thing to want to find God and go there too; JWs are victims of the WT, but without excuse for not searching Scripture apart from indoctrination).
Since I am born again, should I partake to make a point at the Memorial (which I am going to in order to pray and be a witness)? Since the Memorial and WT is an unbiblical sham, should I let it pass (though I partake in a Christian church)? How would a JW react if I took the emblems (I will wear jeans and have a Kingdom Interlinear with me). Would it help or hinder witness? Is there a reasonable chance of dialogue or are they inclined to do there thing and want to go? Will there likely be many non-JWs or inactive ones?
I did receive an invite at the door personally. I mentioned the 1914 changes coming (though the Deity of Christ is the real issue) and she said that at least the WT corrects its mistakes (whatever).

Evangelical, biblical Christianity has a wealth of scholarship and world class speakers/writers. I cringe at the foolishness of the Watchtower and my heart goes out to its victims. Jesus, not religion, is what JWs should really be looking for (Jesus is Jehovah, the truth that will set free and give eternal life).

The dude now knows that Jesus is Jehovah and that he has wasted his life serving a false prophet. God's heart and mine grieves that he was a victim of a false organization.
There is no soul sleep and he is more alive at this moment than ever before awaiting his future resurrection at the Great White Throne judgment at the end of the Millennium.

What Happens After You Leave?
by Cold Steel ini'm not a witness, but i have to ask..... what happens after you leave?
do you turn against all religion or do you find another?
people say they're happy when they leave...that they feel free, but i'd hate to think that people give up on everything religious.. if you do stay religious, how many doctrines of the jws do you retain?

There is a difference between leaving an autocratic, manmade organization and knowing God through Christ. Leaving a false religion to another false religion or no religion still leaves one a condemned sinner. Abundant and eternal life comes through Jesus Christ alone (Jn. 1:12; Jn. 3:16; Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom. 10:9-10).
