  a while back, i suggested that an easy, quick, quiet exit with the signing and dating of a concise and irrefutable document would spur faders and pimos to preempt the elders' interference by quitting quietly first , before a fade or a confrontation.

  There is a fundamental flaw in all of these discussions about civil rights declarations etc: they cut both ways. Yes, you have the right to practice your religion as you see fit. So do the elders.

  I'm with Simon, if you want to stop being a JW just stop. My wife and I wrote a DA letter about six months after we quit going to the hall. We said we'd sue them if they slandered us. We sent all kinds of documents outlining what we thought was wrong with the organization.

  If I had it to do over again I'd just tell them I joined voluntarily and I was leaving voluntarily. Or maybe not say anything at all and let them figure it out.

  this new lawsuit continues to compound undeniable evidence that jehovah’s witnesses is keener in monopolizing "the truth" or making "kingdom assets" an exclusive right, so that they can interests of their "king, jesus christ".

  it is clearly evident also the they are willing to fight for frivolous and materialistic rights they believe they are entitled to, but when it comes to child sexual abuse issues and their role, they certainly love to twist and hide behind law, to escape blame and responsibility.. below is the full text from https://avoidjw.org/en/news/watch-tower-bmg-music/.

  What Joe said. As a writer I have some knowledge of copyright law. Music copyright is a bit more complicated, but not beyond understanding. Copyright exists to protect the creators of intellectual property, BMG knows this (or they are stunningly incompetent.

  I know this is an unpopular opinion on this board, but the WTBS is well within its rights on this, and risks losing those rights if it doesn't defend them.

  We live in a semi-rural area, we've had bobcats in the yard a couple of times. The second time it tried to grab one of my granddaughter's ducks for lunch. Fortunately we saw it and scared it off.

  Has anyone contested a Will and WON????

  my jw mom just died last week, about 6 1/2 months after my non jw dad died (dehydration, starvation, imo) i was the executor of that will.

  before a month had passed of his death, my dad & mom's will was changed.

  i didn't know until she died.

  A question you need to ask yourself: is this worth fighting about? If it isn't enough money to pay a lawyer the correct thing to do is walk away. Remember that all of your mother's debts need to be paid, before any money can be disbursed.

  Is this will witnessed and notarized? If not, or if you can prove your mother wasn't competent, it may be invalid. I repeat the advice given above: see an attorney. If you are in Washington State (or even if you aren't, but you are in the US) I may be able to help you find one. PM me if you want, I'm not a lawyer, but I am a retired accountant.   this year was actually “the beginning of the last days for the watchtower.

  before this year, there were very few that questioned the watchtower.

  they were truly god’s only channel.

  My wife and I stopped going to meetings in 1988 and sent our DA letter in 1989. The information was there for anybody to find, if they looked. Like BluesBrother I spent hours in the public library (which had a wealth of information) looking over my shoulder terrified some elder would catch me there. In retrospect, if one had seen me, the obvious question would have been "What are you doing in this part of the library?" After we left, we were part of an XJW support group, perhaps a dozen members from around the Seattle area.

  Nurses are unwilling to take the COVID-19 Vaccine

  i work at two separate hospitals and most of the rns i work with have stated they won't take the vaccine.

  i've read a report that 1/3 of rns will refuse the vaccine.

  for those in other countries do you see this being an issue or is it more an american phenomenon?.

  Keep in mind, these vaccines didn't sprout all on their own like mushrooms. The basic science has been at work since the 1990's. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNA_vaccine#History

  COVID-19 just jumped working on this to a higher priority, and it was all out in public as opposed to hidden away in a lab somewhere. Turning it into a political football didn't help.
