  You Tube Questions about Watchtower Property

  kim and mikey made a youtube yesterday claiming that a business called watchtower property co. was connected to the watchtower.

  they used a recording done by youtuber smurf girl of a call she made to a julie at the company.

  i believe the call was doctored as it has her saying that (no) "we're connected to the jehovahs witnesses directly.

  Some time in the next day or two when I have a minute I will do some research and get back to everybody. For some reason I can't get into the Pennsylvania Secretary of State, it looks like they're doing server updates or something. When I get in I should be able to find out who owns Watchtower Property and some other information. It's also too late to watch the videos all the way through.

  As I've brought up before I worked as an accountant in Commercial and Multi-family Residential real estate. Kim and Mickey make a big deal about the Watchtower Property website linking to a website for a Fermi property site. It is common practice in the industry to form different entities to do different things. Absent evidence of something wrong, it means nothing that Julie Fermi owns multiple companies.

  This company also seems only to deal with properties in Philadelphia, if the Watchtower was serious about this, they'd form an international corporation to run their properties. They already have a lot of the necessary infrastructure to do so.

  As I said, I'll do some research and get back on here.

  The right to not be exposed to ideas I don’t like or agree with?

  ok, i would like to submit to the forum the following question: in abstract, do you think that there is a right to not being exposed to ideas that you don’t like or disagree with?

  please think it through and its implications on both ends of the spectrum.. it’s not the right to conscientious objection to do something you vehemently disagree with; it’s not about the liberty to chose which ideas you want to embrace or advocate.

  it’s something different.. given that, as exjws, we understand the importance of being exposed to different opinions in order to form our own opinion, should someone claim the right not to be exposed to opinions or ideas that they don’t like?

  Of course you have a right to refuse to hear or see anything you disagree with. In my book you have a complete freedom to stick your head up your ass and leave it there forever.

  Karen trailer

  a new horror film is coming out, called, er, karen.. yes, a film about an entitled white woman called karen (geddit?

  ) who clashes with a new couple (who are black) in her neighbourhood.

  so, karen is also a racist.. brilliant!.

  Go Bag and Catastrophes

  i live with my parents in law and yesterday, my mother in-law was very nervous about an email she got from the brothers in her congregation.

  it was asking if she would be able to receive people over at our house should there be a catastrophe.

  so, she asked me if i would agree with this.

  I wonder why they didn't promote go bags in 1975? Weren't those Witnesses just as important as those today? What changed?

  I became a JW (at age 22) in 1973. With oil shortages, wars etc lots of people were preparing for trouble. We all knew Mormons were supposed to have 7 years of food. But we all congratulated ourselves for being so much more faithful. We didn't need to get ready because when the time came, Jehovah would protect us.

  From my standpoint, I'd say what changed is they lost faith - in the GB, the elders, the magazines, each other, and themselves.

  Great Teacher I will take a look tomorrow. I'm working with a website designer, who has been fantastic on the layout and graphics. Not the first time I caught a spelling problem. I will look at the setup from my cell phone, not the desktop.

  What Is Truth?

  just because you believe something as truth, it doesn’t make it truth.

  religious leaders may be admired and believed but they could be dead wrong.

  politicians can spout out “facts” that support their truth yet once further evidence comes through these facts are questionable.
