  she got into it with my husband over the phone, accusing him of controlling me and taking me away from Jehovah

  I can totally identify. When I was becoming vocal about the way things were not being done according the Bible and became inactive in the WT activities, I was also told that I was being influenced by some of my non-JW relatives!

  No one could accept that I decided on my own to investigate the real truth about the Watchtower.

  my 1st cousin and friend died yesterday.

  she was a good friend to me and i beleive loved me unconditionally.

  back when she and her family were df'ed i shunned them to a degree and regretted it lately.

  I, for my part, cannot in good conscience continue my association with a religious organization that continues to put it’s members in harms way, and demands exclusive devotion, such that belongs to God himself.

  Your letter is excellent.

  It is intelligent and brave all at once.

  The illustration about being led astray in the WTC is by far one of the best I have ever read.

  Your eloquence is admirable.

  Congratulations for doing the right thing.

  first, i would appreciate it if we could agree on a translation other than the nwt.

  on to the doctrines; i would appreciate the full scriptural basis for the following doctrines.

  you may take as much time on each point as you feel you need to and consider any information you want in arriving at an answer, but i would prefer it if the answer is from the scriptures.

  when Witnesses leave off the publications and start trying to find justification in JUST the Scriptures, they start to wake up

  Great starting points!

  Even if I spent a week trying, I don't think I'd find any Biblical support for any of those five JW doctrines.
