My Wife is demanding that I stop coming to this board.

okay, i am in a bit of a dilemma.

since i believe in honesty between marriage mates, i have been telling my wife about this board and my participation on it.

i feel it is only right so that she won't feel like i have anything to hide.

The Watchtower cult is EXTREMELY dangerous. They will ruin your family and your life. I would not allow anyone I love to get within 1000 miles of those bastards. I would visit whoever is studying with the person I love and run them off.

As the head of the house I would make it crystal clear that no one in my house is having anything to do with those lying bastards.

I'm not trying to be rude but I don't see how if you claim to love someone you would not do everything in your power to keep that person out of the clutches of this twisted, sick, delusional cult.

Just recieved a mail from an elder

hey, here is a little update on my fade:.

an elder have been calling me for a couple of weeks now... i didnt answer the phone, and after two weeks he stopped calling.

i was releaved... until today... i just recieved a mail from the same elder, telling me that he and another elder wants to visit me - he gave a bs reason about them rearranging the groups in the congregation and wrote they were visiting all the puplishers.

Do you think this is really a justice committee meeting but they aren't telling you that?

If it is a shepherding call, not much harm can come from it.

I would respond and say that my schedule is really hectic and I cannot make a time right now but I will get back to them. They won't push it unless they are trying to have an ambush justice committee meeting with you.

i was a good little dubby.

i tried to keep up with studying, only had jw friends, and always followed what the wt pubs said about how to date.

if there was a brother that i was interested in, i'd ask if it would be okay to get to know him better.

I just went through this with some crackheads on here.

I said that Jehovah was a demon from a more ancient mythology and then I listed 4 pages of evidence taken from the Old Testament word for word IN CONTEXT to back up that statement.

Then the crackheads said "those are lies", and I said "how do you know that?", and their reply was that the New Testament said that the scribes made up lies to discredit god but then Jesus came to tell the truth, and I said "How do you know that?", and the answer was "because the New Testament tells us so".

LOL So, we cannot believe the Old Testament because the New Testament tells us so and we shoud believe the New Testament.

BRILLIANT.

Do the "top" men in the WTBTS go in field service?

i read in a letter from walter salter to j. f. rutherford that salter states that rutherford does not go in field service and salter admonishes rutherford to start going in field service so that he will "know what you are talking about".. i found this a bit surprising.

so, i want to ask anyone who knows the inner workings at the hqs.

do the top men go in field service?

I am certain that 99.99% of the R&F do not know that the top men do not go in service and would likely have a very different opinion of service if they did know.

Hmmm, now the question is how to tell them from a source they will believe?

for the uk it was 275 (that they're willing to declare anyway).

i don't know how that compares with last year.. how about in your country?.

they do not count all the partakers anyway.

I know several interested people who went to the KH and partook because it was what they believe and the WTBTS refused to count them and the elders "counseled" them that they were not really of the anointed. I thought it was funny how they tried to explain how they could know better than the Holy Spirit who was anointed and who wasn't.
