WBTS reply about UN involvement
by Bosho inokay, firstly appologies for it taking me, like a million years to actually get back to you good people.. i was sent a letter back and guess what... standard reply was issued!.
i don't have a scanner (it blew up ages ago!
) but the main body of the letter was the same as i've seen on other threads here.

We too have given documentation to three elders( arrived at my home without invitation) regarding the U.N. however, they more or less said that they will go away and have a meeting on our punishment for critising the WTBTS for affliating with the wild beast'( their words not ours). So it looks as though one of three things will happen, Disapproved, publicly disaproved or disfellowshipping.

Pauls words, meant for who?
by lulu in.
1cor.4:2-4. is he just speaking to the 'holy ones' or is this meant for all of us?
if just for the holy ones, are the hebrews sciptures just meant for the israelites, the greek scruiptures for the holy ones and anything left for the rest of us?

Thank you A Paduan. However, miss out verse. 2. and just read 3 and 4. So does this mean only Jehovah has the right to examine and judge or has he given this duty to others.i.e. to judge and examine or like Paul 'it is a mere nothing if anyone other than Jehovah takes this on.' Where is the scripural authority as there is apparently only one mediator. Also where in the scriptures does it say give yourselves titles.eg. D.O, C.O. Elder. Surely the opposite.

Awaiting punishment.?
by lulu inyesterday november 3rd my husband and i had a visit from three elders( grand jury) as we had given them proof of the affliation of the wtbts to the un.they wanted us to recant and say the society was telling the truth (same old thing only for libary pass not ngo) and to say that the un were liars(all 30,000 who work there, apparently jw's also work there).
when we refused to compromise our integrity after 21/2 hours they departed saying they would let us know their decision!!.
we were obviously wrong when we thought only jehovah was the judge, so there you go, we were wrong again!

My husbands reaction was totally different from mine as he thought it was a hoot. He intends he said to appeal any decision on the grounds he doesn't acknowledge anyones authority over him without his consent. He wants another 'good time'. I think the decision will be 'Siberia' ,he hopes so ,as then he can concentrate completely on his yacht.

King Solomon
by Cicatrix inokay, maybe i'm ignorant, but i can't stop thinking about this.. it's recorded in the bible that jehovah gave solomon great wisdom.
so why did he eventually turn away from jehovah and start serving the gods of his foreign born wives?it would seem to me that that increased wisdom from jehovah would make him more likely to continue to serve jehovah faithfully.. this also brings to mind the account of adam and eve and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.. i considered this from the angle that solomon used his free will and chose to oppose jehovah.
but is free will really "free" if you are punished with death for disobeying the creator???.

Dear, dear Cicatrix, I am so sorry if I have offended you. You have obviously been through a hard time with the elders. Me too. Although not being disfellowshipped at the moment but being 'shunned' ( because of showing the elders all my documents of the Society 's affliation with the U.N.All discussions to me are just an exchange of views and so interesting. I was brought up to have opinions and have no hesitation in expressing them( must be backed up with facts though). To go back to Solomon, Jehovah said if you will obey my rules you will benefit yourself, if not what you sow you will reap, so no problem. By the way, nowhere in the bible does it say Jehovah needs or indeed wants a human organization or a GB. Especially ones who can and do control all aspects of a persons life.

What do you think the JW's do. It is nepotism, they vote one another in, how do you think the paedophilias managed to get such a stronghold? They Vote one another in? So what is the problem?According to the scriptures the 'congregation' as a whole have to appoint someone, and it is only a job. Only Jesus is the mediator, no-one else is needed nor should be.

Jehovah can do whatever he likes, when he likes and to whom . Soloman knew exactly what he was doing. The choice is yours, we are not puppets.
