The only way to take down the organization would be to kill off the entire GB in one fell swoop. Even then, other "anointed" would be recruited to take their place. But if they were all gone at once, it would at the least be disorienting.

I have been testing the waters with a fade. Waiting to see the reaction. My friends and family still talk to me, although I haven't been to meeting since November of last year. I have been very careful about what I say, if anything and for the most part am not questioned. My mom did talk to me the other day, and just told her I don't feel like I fit in, and never have and that I'm having trouble with crowds in small spaces where I know a lot of people. (anxiety) It is true.

But the other day, my friend made a comment that she was going to get me to go back - no matter what. On the one hand - I don't want to go back, ever. But on the other hand, being "out" as a doubter would cause problems with me and my family I just don't want to risk.

Unless someone has a good strategy for talking my way out of it, I think I'm giving up and just going back. I'm not sure how I can stomach the material because it is so narrow in scope - so any suggestions are welcome.

Can you "fornicate" with your marriage mate? I've heard the WTBTS says that you can. Is this true?

is it true that the current thinking of jehovah's witnesses is that you can "fornicate" with your marriage mate if you engage in sexual activity that is not approved by the writing department at bethel?

what are some examples?.

This is an interesting topic to me because as I have posted here before - some view the definition of porneia as referring to idolatry, male or female prostitution, sex with slaves or family members - not to sex between unmarried persons.

If porneia was as all encompassing as it is proposed to be then 1 Cor. 6: 9 - 11 would not need to be such a long list and would have been redundant:

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God."

My .02 cents.

PS. I for one would LOVE to be able to just let myself go - I'm still "IN" and celebacy is getting O-L-D.

You may not know the answer to this, but what was the term used here for adultery? Just curious.

So, I'm currently inactive - and listen to the meetings on the phone on occasion. I did attend the convention, 1 1/2 days because all my family was there and it would really cause a stir if I just decided not to go.

At any rate, given all of that info - if I started dating worldly men, then married one, what are my chances of being disfellowshipped?? Or, if I keep it private, and show up married, what will they simply reprove me?

Just thinking through all the options.

These Catholics, very liberal Catholics mind you, don't believe that porneia was talking about pre-marital sex or even homosexuality, but prostitution.

So in their eyes, there is nothing to confess as far as those acts are concerened. I wonder if the Society will ever come to that same conclusion. I'm tired of being celebate, but I'm not ready to be DF'd, so that means I'd have to lead a double life - which is fine until I get caught. I am one of those people who stay in because I have family, specifically an 8 year old nephew who depends on me being part of his life. So, as I am often, I feel at a crossroads between taking care of myself and my taking care of others....I just want a little suga in my bowl, is that so wrong?
