after reading the 2nd half of the bible about 3 times in a 3 month period, i felt i needed to start from the beginning.

for the most part, been told most important things which apply to us and that is needed are the books of matthew - onward.

well i found out quickly from psalms onward how untrue that is.

I think it 'could' be related to that. But a few things which seem to contradict in the bible about this. When Jesus left earth, he floated up, and told his disciples he would return the same way he leaves, which seems to say that he would be seen desceneding out of heaven for the battle.

I don't think I need to quote them, but tons of scriptures about him and his father making their abode inside the elect, and that the elect are the temple. Then Jesus said he would 'be with his disciples UNTIL the great tribulation'. In connecting those dots, it seems his return on earth could be within all the true elect, as they are 'in union' with him, and their personalities are changed. Then he is withdrawn at the great tribulation because he is then physically coming to earth.

Anyway, appreciate your responses, as I do more research and reading, if what you say is true it will be revealed and/or in agreement with the holy spirit and scriptures I'm reading. Or both of our understandings are the beginning of the light getting brighter and may be somewhat of a combination of both. I believe this is what is spoken about in not forsaking the gathering of yourselves together and in accurate knowledge because true christians had group studies and they commented based on what they got from the scriptures and if everyone got the same thing, then it would feel overwhelmingly true, and if not all in agreement, going by their conscience. The unified part were the core basics of the truth, the undisputable truth which would have no varying.

Unfortunately, instead of each congregation having study and getting knowledge by comparing what they seem to be getting from holy spirit and understanding to increase knowledge, ALL of the understanding and knowledge is based off of 8 men who probably barely have time to read the bible and study, and probably never have time for deep bible discussion.

i often hear it quoted that the "end will be like the days of noah" in that everyone will be carrying on as usual, when all of a sudden it hits.

like a tsunami.

Correct, Armageddon will not be a natural disaster. Prior to it, there will be MANY MANY things occuring though. It may be a period of several years of hardship beyond imagination. Famine so severe that there is cannibalism (USA is especially vulnerable). Violence, fear, chaos. Pestilence and sickness wiping out millions. Then various supernatural disasters and plagues.

The grand finale, will likely be an event that you won't be allowed to visually witness. The great flood of Noah, they did not see the destruction as it was occuring, that's why they had to send out the bird to check. At Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot's wife perished for turning around to look. During the angel of God killing the first borns of Egypt, they were to remain inside with everything closed and shut. Based on recent study, I believe during the final denunciation, God's people must hide in the interior of their homes or wherever they are at, and any who go out to watch will be disintegrated by great heat and fire as it's passing over the earth removing the wicked.

have you seen what appears to be 2 different groups of annointed?

perhaps one selected/predestined by jehovah and another not predestined by invited by jesus?

I have the same understanding of a lot of what you posted. If you keep reading the bible everyday, you'll see more and more of your questions being answered, and yes a lot of it is scary, especially when first starting to get understanding.

When the scriptures speak of the light getting brighter or knowledge unbundant in the congregation, it's speaking of those like us. All meeting and sharing/discussing what we are getting, and personally only accepting what we find in harmony with the bible.

Thanks for your post, also very strange, but seems around age 27/28 that this happens to many. (even younger, but substantial developments around that age for several I've spoken with)

Snowbird yes it seems to be pointing to Jesus.

But he is said to have been of Judah, not of the tribe of Joseph. Trying to figure why both the prophecies seems to point ot him, yet they are two different tribes.

To get a little more deep, and to further show that there must be something very deep here, “And I will make the house of Judah superior, and the house of Joseph I shall save. And I will give them a dwelling, for I will show them mercy.” (Zech. 10:6

And Ezekiel’s vision of the division of the land, Joseph is not named,but his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim, who occupy the fourth and fifth allotments. However, in the city Jehovah-shammah a gate is named after Joseph and none after his sons. In Ezekiel’s vision of the reunifying of Jehovah’s people, Joseph is spoken of as chief of the one part of the nation and Judah as the chief of the other part. (Ezek. 48:4-6, 32; 37:15-26)

Something to think about.....I have to reread where David (of Judah I believe) was told the savior would come from him, or who would come from his line. But Joseph was of Judah, but he was an adopted father of Jesus, blood line would of been who Mary decended from, who did Mary come from?

After reading the 2nd half of the bible about 3 times in a 3 month period, I felt I needed to start from the beginning. For the most part, been told most important things which apply to us and that is needed are the books of Matthew - onward. Well I found out quickly from Psalms onward how untrue that is. Psalms onward are a lot of prophecies giving perfect details of events TODAY and describe and foretell what will happen on the earth right prior and during the great tribulation, and many are much more detailed then in Matthew onwards. That's neither here nor there, just a little background info on what got me to Genesis, etc.

I've found in early books of bible, especially Genesis, prophecies which can shed light on the future, and give understanding to other prophecies in the bible.

Now in Genesis Chapter 49, this is after Joseph who was betrayed by his brothers, had saved and helped his family. It was Joseph and his brothers from where the 12 tribes of Israel originated. Now Jacob prior to his death, foretold what would becoming of his brothers decendants in the future.

(A side note, for deep readers and those who really been getting spirit, read the whole account of Joseph, and you'll see some striking similarities and symbolism which either prophetic or have a very deeper meaning for future events in the bible even down to today)

In Gen 49:8-10, we see the future for Judah, as Jesus was foretold to come from David, who was of Judah, this here says of Judah, "the scepter will not turn aside from Judah, neither the commander's staff from between his feet, until Shi'loh comes, and to HIM the obedience of the peoples will belong." - now that appears to be foretelling of Jesus

Then in vs 22, speaks of the future of Joseph (read about Josephs life too, prior to all of this), but says about his decendents(only putting parts but several paragraphs long if you read it all, "offshoot of a fruit bearing tree, the archers kept harrassing him and shot at him and kept harboring animosity towards him, yet his bow was in a permanent place, from the hands of the powerful one of Jacob, from there is the sheperd, the stone of Israel. He is from teh God of your father, and he will help you and he is with the Almighty, and he will bless you with teh blessings of the heaven above. the blessings of your father will indeed be superior to the blessings of the eternal mountains and the ornament of the indefinitely lasting hills. They will continue upon the head of Joseph, even upon the crown of the head of the one singled out from his brothers.

WHAT IS ALL OF THAT TALKING ABOUT? I will get the answer eventually, if nobody has been on that yet. If it was not for the scripture of Judah talking about Shiloh, I would of thought perhaps it was referring to Jesus. I have a very very strong feeling there is a big significance to that scripture. I am starting to get some ideas and feelings in line with other scriptures, but want to see what others may think or if anyone has got to this yet.

GotTheGhost - Can you point out a few examples of things that you knew would happen?

I'm very similar in the part of seeing things wrong in the congregation at a young age, at 13/14 years old, I was finding truth and saw how the revelation book and interpretation of many prophecies were false. My family was shocked when for several months I was fixated on the scriptures talking about the disgusting thing causing desolation standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment), and was convinced it had not yet happened and was seeking very hard to understand it. Then a year later a watchtower goes out titled, "Let the reader use discernment", in 1998, acknowledging that it has not come to pass, and is unknown. Also from the bible, I did not know what was wrong or how, but was seeing how the condition of the congregation and his people was in bad shape, and had to be fixed.

As for the spirit being poured out on all flesh, and yes if you read Pauls letters, you'll see reference to a greater calling to race for. I see 3 hopes in the bible, and still in process of sorting them out. 1. Are those from birth who were maybe even made to serve Jehovah or have a specific purpose and to accomplish certain things. 2. An invitation for 'any' to become adopted as sons, if they seek it out and 100% 3. For righteous ones who want to live life as God intended being allowed to remain on the earth. (they only need to basically follow the basic commandments of Jesus and their conscience of right and wrong)

Are their two separate annointed groups, the 144,000 from birth who are Gods chosen? Then the great crowd are thjose who seeked out the truth and got holy spirit and also got into heaven? Or are the great crowd the ones who remain after most of humans on earth are wiped out?

If one is born as Gods son, can he loose it or is he made to do what he had to? If so, then seems doubtful those ones could loose it. If that's the case, then the marriage feast in Jesus illustrations meant the israelites were first invited, many rejected, so finally the invitation was opened to anybody. OR since Jesus time, the elect/annointed had been specific selections, even from birth, since many didn't pan out, then it cbecamse an open invitation to all.

I find it very interesting as well, how even on this discusson board, certain topics are being researched and questioned, which I had been going through as well and trying to figure out. I think there has till today been much spiritual darkness worldwide STILL, and NOW is the period of time when the light is going to be getting brighter and brighter, but not in the sense everyone originally thought it would.

There is something happening, and this could be part of bible prophecy. Without giving anything away, but perhaps something a few readers need to investigate, compare the first horseman, with the army that God whistles into existance which is mentioned in Joel, and many of the other early prophets detailing the last days. First horsemen, army, 2 witnesses, Scorpion/Locusts, multicolored horses (throughout certain parts of the bible, some of them may be related to events about to happen.

Was the Apostle Paul the Rutherford of his day?

i was doing reseaerch on early days of the society and remembered a radio programme about the apostle paul from earlier in the year.

the gist of the programme was that paul had remodeled the early christians in his image and that many of the restrictions and edicts from that time had little to do with jesus earlier teaching.

for example the vilification of homosexuals and the denegration of women.. this made me think about how rutherford changed the early bible students and added restrictions to them as well trying to remodel the organisation into something he could control.. jesus spent time teaching about the kingdom, preaching the need for love, forgiveness and acceptance.

A few main topics and things written in Pauls letters.....

1. Many were mainly written for the elect/annointed, look at the introduction of the letters to understand which are which.

2. He said you don't need anybody to be teaching you, he said how nobody taught him, and he didn't go looking for teachers.

3. He said he was concerned how easily he was accepted, he thought that after his departure, others could go in and if they accepted them as easily, without checking and verifying the teachings, they could be misled.

4. Peter was sent to preach to people of the world, when he was in the midst of promient Jews, he would avoid them, Paul corrected him on that.

5. Paul's letters emphasized faith, as Peters emphasized works. Paul said if you get circumsized thinking you must to get salvation, you don't have faith in the sacrifice. He gave more freedom then Peter. Paul was trying ot make a point, yet many took it to extreme liberties, which is why Peters letters say that in Pauls writings are things difficult to understand which many are twisting to their destruction.

6. Paul said not to be judging and judgemental, the only ones not to associate with are those who 'claim' to be a brother but practicer of fornication, etc.

7. Paul was VERY poor, would try to not take from anyone, and worked. RUTHERFORD, made himself a king, had a MANSION built for him in CA, claiming it's for the princes who would be resurrected on earth. They are NOTHING alike!

I don't know how you read Paul's letters, they are hard to understand if your not meant to I suppose or getting spirit, but he is quite the opposite of what you were claiming.

Mentioning what he said about Peter, if elders, etc were treating abusively people in the congregation, he would be the one to correct it. Not the one leading and giving off that mentality that they are better then everyone else. While Jesus was still on earth, we all know how Peter and the other disciples had a problem with being great, etc, so they are imperfect men and needed correction many times.

As for the women thing, I know Paul did not invent the headship, so could be out of respect for God and could be what God really wants the congregation to be run. Jesus did not start congregations, his short time was covering as much of an area as possible and accomplishing his purpose while on earth. He did not start any congregation with sets of rules that we know of or had been recorded that we know of.

The bible is made in a sense that only basics and the foundation can be taught. Beyond that, need holy spirit to get an understanding, and it's a training/gradual process. Involves reading much of it over and over and each time get new insight and instruction. It is impossible to teach one most of these things, which is also why Jesus used illustrations and didn't say everything in black and white. It's very hard to explain unless you go through it. What's really neat is when things you have never seen taught anywhere, your all of a sudden finding others throughout the world getting the same information/conclusions at the same time.
