The above google document lists many sources for many different floods worldwide.

Also if note is that it's been recently studied and accepted that most of the water on Earth did not originate in Earth's creation. Earth had some water, but much more water was added by asteroid or meteor shower.

If the Noah story is somewhat accurate, that explains how the floodgates of heaven opened up. Imagine a meteor storm of rain.

Whether you believe it as the bible says or not, there are flood stories across ancient civilizations all over the world. Whatever happened about 13,000 years ago, there were massive floodings happening all over the world.

Anybody have experience selling on Ebay or Amazon?

there are a few collectibles i am wanting to sell.

my concern is that if i accept payment w/ credit card, etc, that i ship the item and they either open it (destroying the value), or just lie about not getting it, or any other thing to cause ebay/amazon to chargeback.

i was wondering if anybody sells on them is there a protection for sellers and how often does that type of thing happen?

Thanks a lot for the input! It definitely makes me feel a bit more comfortable. I was wondering if I should trust the credit card payments or do between payment first (in which the customer probably wouldn't feel comfortable sending a check,etc, prior to shipment) or a COD option. But glad to know it's usually fine except the out of country ones.

i see my wife being pulled into the org a little again, by some good people and kindness.

she grew up a very happy jw, and to leave is very hard for her.

It's interesting how recent studies have shown that a lot of Earth's water came from meteors vs the end result of Earth's formation. Also recent studies show a major asteroid may have hit Earth about 13,000 years ago.

It's interesting how the bible when speaking about the great flood describes it as the floodgates of heaven opening up. If meteors did send the majority of water to Earth, then a water meteor storm would be a good description of the great flood.

if you do a little research there are many physics forums, discussions, and books about this.

it's a bit challenging to grasp but it's very interesting.

if there is life on this higher dimensions, they could see us yet we would be unable to see them.

Thinking about meeting with the elders...might record, any tips for hiding a recorder?

ive been speaking with my wife and she feels that its the honest thing to do and just meet with the elders and tell them my thoughts and doubts.

she brought out that its rude of us for them to expect us to do parts and think alls well, and the.

First, you and your wife don't have to worry or care about other relatives and family shunning? Be prepared if you DA or DFed for any active JW family, friends, relatives to shun you. As long as you are okay there, then your other questions..

If you request elders you are not really familar with and don't really know you, then they'll probably just throw a "do you believe in the governing body, etc," not really want to talk, and if you say you don't you'll get dfed.

If you request elders who really know you and care about you, then they'll probably talk.

Too much advice I can give without really knowing what you want the final outcome to be. It can really be dragged out and even studying with them to try to go over your doubts and just an inactive status or can be a quick and final df or da.
