I still love Kingdom Melodies.
by POs Son inok, at the risk of getting flamed, i have been out for over 20 years, and still love kingdom melodies.
i remember them for the good times, the conventions and assemblies, hearing the orchestral versions, imagining the orchestra playing.
some pieces were really nice.

Reading the Bible Alone "Will Lead you to Apostate Thinkings!" Stay a Watchtowerite!
by BucketShopBill in"from time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of jehovah's people those, who, like the original satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...they say that it is sufficient to read the bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home.
but, strangely, through such 'bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago.

Governing body: We are the faithful and discreet slave, and you must listen to us as you would the voice of God!
Woman: Well, I didn't vote for you.
Governing Body: You don't vote for the faithful and discreet slave.
Woman: Well how'd you become it then?
[ Angelic music plays... ]
Governing body: The Master, Jesus Christ himself, his arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft the silver sword from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that we, the governing body, are indeed the faithful and discreet slave. THAT is why we are the masters of your faith!
Dennis: [ interrupting ] Listen, strange visions of Jesus lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of theocracy. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

PART TWO of AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE BY A PRACTICING JEHOVAH'S WITNESS
by Sparks inwhile you are sitting there reading this, there are literally hundreds of thousands of young males and females all over the world [ mostly in america / canada and england] sitting in their grotty little smelly bedrooms or flats, designing computer viruses that they will up-load onto web-sites to cause anonymous innocent peoples computers to malfunction.
these creeps spend literally weeks, months or even years hoping to make a computer viruses that will get into peoples computer bios to completely destroy their computers.
they never see the peoples anger, frustration and distress.... the damage can cost each person about 1,000 [ $1,660.74 ] or more to replace a basic new laptop or tower.

adjustments - yes. This isn't a website for christian/believer association and support, merely ex jw's. When people leave the religion, too many different paths have been taken by all for there to be a concensus and so beliefs are only debated. Somebody like sparks would be better off on a general christian website/forum.

Sparks isn't even reading these comments.
Anyway, if he is, and for any onlookers, here is my analysis of him and reply to his comments.
Sparks by looking at older posts had left years ago. Being brought or raised into a religion that taught one must find the ONE TRUE religion, and things happened that caused him to disbelieve it. He left. There are usually 3 routes those who leave go, to another christian or indepedent christian type religion, or agnostic, or athiest. He mentally could not handle that when leaving he was unable to find the ONE TRUE religion. For bible believers, the situation is exactly as it was in 1874, or in 1700, there is no ONE true religion to find. Jesus gave identifying marks to find his people, but they are scattered worldwide, there is NOT and there WON'T be a one unifying force where all are united until the real 1,000 year reign. The WT has falsely taught the 1,000 year reign has begun and they put themselves in the throne that the bible says Jesus and 144,000k will be using.
Anyway, Sparks couldn't handle THE TRUTH, so blinders when back on and this is the result.
Some people are better in.
Everything he says so called ex jws say that is not true, he either blinded himself to forget or never looked up to verify it was true. Everything about doctrine changes, the governing body, etc, is all from the original articles and material they published. Sparks says the GB never said anything about 1975, he ignored or never read the KM's, and WT's talking about it, and how they talked highly of those selling their homes to live the last few months of this world doing full time service.
Sparks left originally probably from what he was told and shown by somebody else. I left when I read in the bible on my own and found so many things that the WT teaches and preaches that go against the bible. I am making the truth and my faith my own, not building my house on sand (man teaching/other religion).
Sparks probably would have become an independant believer or some more free christian religion but if his returning had anything to do with this website, it was probably the athiest/believer debates and attacks on believers that made him think life is either hope/future/God/etc ONLY with JW religion of control or leaving with athiest only viewpoint, only life now and no future hope.
(I imagine sparks probably covers his eyes to log on, make a post, and log off without reading anything)

Clarity - you don't have the updated doctrine,
"All scripture Watchtower publications is inspired.................................
that the man slaves of god the governing body may be fully competant ignorant ,
completely equipped for every good work bidding of theirs"

Wait a minute, so the WT uses the bible scriptures to support it's apostate doctrine, then goes ahead and claims reading the bible leads to apostacy?
GB: "As you see in the bible, we must disfellowship apostates. Apostates go against God and against the bible. Now many people who read the bible revert to apostates teachings. So you must follow the WT only, because reading the bible alone will lead you to apostacy, then according to the bible we must disfellowship and shun you!"

Are Jehovah's Witnesses the only religion to teach a paradise earth?
by rory-ks ini have tried researching, but this pesky organisation always packs out the list.
you seem to have to drill down several layers before reaching christadelphians.. is it a recognised idea among other peoples/religions?.

Even the catholic faith believes or had believed in a paradise earth. Look up cremation and how it was forbidden and banned by catholics and most christian faiths because cremation was said to be a rejection of a 'bodily resurrection'.

If Jehovah God Really Loved Humans & This Earth How Might He Show It?
by minimus insupposing that you might say that you believe in god, how might a god of love, show that he really cares about us all?.

To be truly objective, this scenario should be considered as well. Think of all/any reasons God may have for not revealing himself and allowing suffering to happen.
1. Since he hasn't spelt out his purpose for us and reasons in a way that nobody can dispute as coming from him vs man, then if he does exist, before judging him, know that there may be reasons and this coarse of action he has taken in the end turns out being the absolute best of all scenarios.
Some possibilities on why hiding himself and allowing suffering could be part of a greater plan -
1. Allowing humans to LEARN the reasons why things are wrong vs just him stating laws.
2. As a parent who tells their child not to touch the stove because it's hot and they will get burned, if the child is nonstop reaching for the hot stove everyday to stop the child from ever touching it, they may eventually conclude since they are not listening they won't stop their child next time and after getting burned they won't do it anymore.
3. If God had been trying to rule and humans in the past had nonstop challenged him and wanted to rule themselves, now humanity is ruling themselves without him involved to see if it will ever work. Every type of human rule, government, monarchy, democracy, republic, communist, socialist, maybe future 'one world government', etc, "the times of the gentiles", to let humans see first hand and/or prove to themselves if they can rule themselves.
4. God has great plans in store for humans, involving life throughout the universe. He knows that people will obey/follow rule books if they know for sure it's from him, but he wants to see how 'good' they are if they feel he does not exist or maybe there is no future accountability, so he is testing the true character of people.
5. The end, and the new world have already occurred. Those of us on earth were the bad guys in another life. This is pretty much hell. The darkness the scriptures talk about are the darkness we are in for our own existance not knowing how we got here, why we are here, etc.. A. Along w/ this line of thought, we are being 'purified', in the fire, each suffering refines us and we are working our way to redemption. B. This is an eternal punishment for us, we can't die, so we are constantly reborn, always in darkness about our life.
I can think of more, but the point is there can be arguments on both sides. We can think if God is real there are things he should be doing or have done, but there is also the chance that there are valid reasons for things going the way they are.
