  Not a hate group?

  What about the talk listed in the program for either circuit or district assembly last year entitled, "you must hate your enemy" (probably about anybody opposed and not part of the borg)

  Or in print in the 80's WT about how apostates (those who leave or dont believe in the GB) should be stoned to death but the laws do not allow that.

  The hate is there, there is no violence because they are taught to hate but be peaceful.

  Would you want people you don't hate to be killed by God?

  China officially #1 WORLD POWER, surpassed USA in economy and soon will in military.

  another thread related but the title only says, "china is #1", which can mean anything and hence many may not view it who would be intersted in the world power shift.. for the first time since 1945 usa is #2 for economy.

  " I stopped ordering Chinese Take Out Food just to protest...." - even American chinese food in many places has become a 'made in china' quality. I used to love general tso's chicken and I think each year it becomes less chicken and more breading. It's not a piece of chicken with a layer of breading but each piece is like a marble sized piece of meat with incased in a huge glob of breading as if nobody would notice they are eating more breading then actual chicken (if it is chicken lol).

  it seems it is possible to get some financial statements from some countries.. it's interesting seeing how they must report in what way they are a charity.

  many spin doctoring and word games to make it appear they are doing charitable things.. also interesting was how the trustees were consenting to reducing the reserves and sending them to another country, probably wt usa it looks like.

  There could definitely be some money laundering going on. What is interesting is how both IBSA and WT claim to have free volunteers and how in this statement it talks about WT 'purchasing' literature from them and them 'purchasing' literature from the WT as well as providing services to WT from conventions and such and vice versa.

  That's 2 major parts but if the WT's dozens of companies are all charging eachother back and forth, then that can make expenses that don't really exist and imagine if the charges are not actual cost but inflated.

  Look at the wording of this one as well about the so called benefit. No wonder WT pushes all of this preaching and distributing their literature, since NOTHING else is done, no help for it's members or other poor, that it MUST show growth, like a for profit company and expansion.

  apologies if this has been asked before, but i couldn't find a thread where the focus was specifically this yes-or-no question.

  reach back in your memories to when you were at the peak of your faith in the religion, and tell me honestly:.

  "did you, personally, believe that non-witnesses would die at armageddon, even if they hadn't gotten to hear the message at all?".

  From a kid I was taught everyone who is not a JW would die at armageddon, only JW's would be alive. Everybody who was killed at Armageddon would be gone forever, those who died prior would be resurrected for a 2nd chance since they didn't have an opportunity to read the WT or Awake and learn 'the truth'. But those alive while witnessing if they rejected the WT or Awake were rejecting God and should have clearly known that they were rejecting him.

  As a teen, it bothered me that in field circus we were offering magazines that had nothing to do with God or the end, and if somebody rejects the offer for the Awake magazine talking about genital herpes or something, how were they to know they were rejecting God? So if the WT or Awake weren't about the last days, etc, I offered the "Will this World Survive" tract.

  In my young adult years I rebelled a bit and got to know some worldly people and other Christian and was further bothered that many of them seemed to be better association then other JW's and couldn't understand what made the JW's better on a 'technicality' of having the truth when others were just as and many times even more sincere and moral.

  All of those contributed to my learning TTATT.

  this is the letter i wrote back in '96 about the parousia.

  following the '95 watchtower that disconnected the "generation" from 1914 i began to look carefully at end-time prophecy and soon discovered what i knew were basic errors in what i had been taught.. i was a loyal jw at the time and was still serving as an elder.

  i used only watchtower publications in my research.

  Do you think the GB are sweating yet? For the moment they may claim 'military' but when China passes USA there as well, then a lot of their prophecies and interpretations get thrown out.

  New theory on GB or the mysterious people who profit from all the money going to the WT

  with all the money grabs and shady things going on, you wonder how can they actually believe they are representing god and even believe in god and still be doing these things.. then i thought, what if a trend started awhile back, people who gave up everything and got high in the org, but also since they got high up, they were privy and learned things that convinced them it was a lie.

  now if they remained believers, they may end up like ray franz, a true believer wouldn't want to deceive people seeking god, they would be afraid of god's wrath.. since as is shown on this board many also become athiests, some could have become so while still in and in high ranks.

  at this point they think of their options, a. leave, screwed, welfare, older they are the harder to adjust and everybody turns on them or b. kind of shady but the org and everyone put them in this position and they will turn on them in a heartbeat with no remorse so he is going to beat them to it and insure the rest of his/their lives are well taken care of and going to get rich off it.. so those higher ups who turn athiest opt for option b since they don't believe in any god and since the whole org will turn on them for disagreeing and not believing and leave them with nothing, they will instead keep working their way up, start companies for the things wt already buys, turn it into a big cash cow for themselves.

  Either I have not explained it well or you guys don't understand how business works. Did the forced remodels and all the changes on KH ownerships, etc, happen back in the 80's? What I'm trying to explain could be recent, since the 90's or even 2,000+. And it could have absolutely nothing to do with anybody on the GB. Everybody will agree the religion has change a LOT the past 10 years and big focus on money, remodels, turning over assets to WT, etc.

  Who supplies all the leased cars for the CO's? Who supplies the building materials? Who does the KH remodels? Who supplies the toilet paper for Bethel? Who owns all of the dozens of companies affiliated with the WT?

  If you think there are not JW's in the mix who would be owners of some of these companies supplying, contracting, etc, and making a LOT of money for being the sole vendor for items of an organization of millions of members, thousands/hundreds of thousands of buildings, etc, then you're quite blind. Or does all the money the WT spends go solely to 'worldly' companies because WT would never do business with a member since they wouldn't have followed their orders on not seeking material pursuits and owning and running a company that is capable of handling the workload needed to handle the volume of business the WT would have for every little thing would be spending most of their time running that company.

  They don't have to skim or pocket donations. There have been and probably still are charities whose president or the head honcho also owned the company(s) the charity used to do all of their marketing, etc. I remember one spent over 90% of the money it raised on direct mail marketing and those millions went to a company owned by the president of the charity to provide those services. He wasn't stealing, and technically it was legal. So take that concept an apply it to all of the different vendors the WT uses, and many of the vendors the WT uses are owned by JW's. For those vendors who get millions a year, what transpired for them to be selected and how did they get those companies? Are they a publisher of a congregation and just happened to own the company and the WT started using them? Were they high up in the organization and were given the green light that if he started a company they would send the business to them?

  i almost wonder if some awakened, still-in, from this site is part of the writing department or illustrations and put that in there as an inside joke for us?.

Are you implying when Rutherford had the mansion built for the princes that would be resurrected in 1925 to lead the Lords work all the way in beautiful California on the other side of the country from where the Lord's headquarters were located that he was anything but sincere in that and never intended to live there himself?
