Before I go further, has anyone researched or ever found an explanation? I am into other topics now but fell upon some actual reasons. I believe the WT just says it's symbolic and since it's not the same 12 as originally, that it proves it's symbolic. I just found some scriptures that seem to hint WHY they are not there and replaced.

"the Bible contains no scientific inaccuracies"
by nicolaou inthat's the incredible statement made by the watchtower in 2007.
(*** g 11/07 p. 8 4. scientific accuracy ***) it's nothing new though, they've been churning out variations on this theme for decades .
1951 *** w51 6/1 p. 325 par.

A few possibilities, we know a day for God is as 1,000 years for us, so could be 6,000 years, or even going into bible symbolism, a day equals a year, 365 days then 1,000 for each of God's days, if did 365X1000X6 got over 2 million years. Anyway, unless your told by who wrote it what was meant by it or other scriptures to clarify, it's not saying 6 human days. INFACT our "days" are based on the sun, so how could it be if the sun hadn't even been created yet?

Do you think they will get a new bible?
by twinkle toes ini was thinking about the fact that the society is changing all the lingo that is associated with the new world order, new system and the like.
what i was wondering is if it is important to get away from this phrasing, what are they going to do with the new world translation?
do you think they will start publishing it under a new name?

The Probabilty of there being an Intelligent Designer
by cantleave ini have been thinking a great deal about where i stand at this moment in time in terms of a belief in a creator verses a belief in an evolutionary process.
i think the best way to describe it is an exploratory path.
i look at what is around me and i acknowledge it is remarkable.

EndofMysteries
My take on this......the probability of only 1 random life coming into existence without any intelligent design, let alone billions when taking into account bacteria, plants, animals, etc. AND if life was do easy and dynamic to happen on its own this way, then why can man, who is able to combine things instead of waiting for by chance nature to, create life. Why can't I create animal life that is non existant, or create a type of fruit or plant that does not exist, etc.
This is prob parroting an old WT illustration or one we've all heard, but I fully agree with it, in that it would be far easier to believe that the components of a car, a simple machine, would have greater chance of forming and randomly assembling to create a working car then new life. (or why can man create cars but not life)
Man can 'manipulate' life, but not make it on it's own.
I also like this illustration, one day the world's greatest scientist claimed he could create life just like God, so God challenged him. The scientist said I will also take dirt and form a living being out of it. So God accepted the challenge, and the scientist took some dirt, and God said, "woah, what do you think your doing? Make your own dirt. "
Finally, sometimes the concept of the impossible is also the only thing which makes sense. That an intelligent designer has existed for eternity is hard to believe, or where did he come from. Think of it this way, if he came from something, or if one did not exist, then many like to 'start' life or things in existance from a certain point, matter for example. Well where did matter come from? If they say energy, where did that energy come from, and you'll realize that it will be for infinity that something had to come from something, and that concept makes less sense then a God which had no beginning. There MUST be something that did not have a beginning, for which all other things had a beginning. If God had a beginning, then what caused his begining, and what caused the thing which caused his beginning, it would be endless.
So do you choose to believe in a chain of beginnings which are INFINITE and go on for eternity with which the chain of beginnings had no beginning, or a creator who's life was infinite and had no beginning? Either way, one of them must be chosen and both are hard to grasp or accept as everything humans know and see had a start.

How does the WTS explain how the battle of Armageddon will be fought?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inarmageddon is a battle in which satan unites the kings of the earth against god's appointed king, christ.. the witnesses teach that the bible uses megiddo as the "symbolic" place of gathering of all the kings of the earth, where they will try to do battle against god and his forces.. it sounds so silly to me now that god and his forces would battle satan?
if god is so powerful, wouldn't he make satan and his demons just disappear?
does god need a sword, rocket, fist,or army tanks to destroy satan?.

EndofMysteries
There appears to be a 'mixing' of the events which transpire directly 'before' the 1,000 year reign and after, when Satan is forever destroyed. If you read the entire book of Ezekiel, but concentrate on the books 28 and beyond, you'll see it appears a LITERAL rebuilding of Jerusalem. That each year, a trip must be made by the world's population/king's of the earth to get blessing and so that rain continues on their land, etc. After the 1,000 year reign, is when the opposers deceived by Satan surround it and fire comes from heaven destroying it. Again in Ez, it's very literal. In Isaiah 26:19-21 seems to hint that the final part of armagedon you must hide in the interior of your homes, and not be allowed to see what transpires, as during the great flood they did not see, not during the angel of death at Egypt, nor Lot and his family during Sodom's destruction. In Revelation, seems during the 1,000 year reign, perhaps a literal Jerusalem on Earth, but after it, earth potentially destroyed and a literal new heaven and new earth, or some type of major world cleansing, because after those events, then a heavenly Jerusalem decending on earth as God then approves and resides with man. All of this may be confusing, but you'll see a bit what I'm talking about by comparing Ezekiel and Revelation.

The Man of Lawlessness 2 Thessalonians 2 1-4
by hoggieman ini am curious on your thoughts on this idea that jesuss presence would not come until the man of lawlessness was revealed.
according to jw doctrine wouldnt this have needed to happen prior to 1914?
i know the publications say this is christendoms clergy (even though this sounds a lot like fds), but how is it resolved that jws are the only ones who think this one has been revealed.

That is correct, the man of lawlessness has not been revealved yet, we are on the verge of it though, and may shock people when it does get revealed.

HUGE, Faithful and discreet slave SEPARATED from other annointed now!!
by EndofMysteries ini almost missed this in my last post, but i just realized how important and must list it.
paragraph 14 from jan 15, 2010 wt last article entitled "jehovah's way of ruling vindicated".
"a few anointed members of "the israel of god" still remain, and as jesus' brothers, they continue to act as "ambassadors substituting for christ (2 cor 5:20) they have been appointed as a faithful and discreet slave class to care for and provide spiritual food for annointed ones and a growing crowd of christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever.

A WT earlier last year said that all annointed combined are a faithful and discreet slave class, this upcoming article is saying that the annointed are the Israel of God and out of them are 'appointed' a faithful and discreet slave, to give spiritual food to 'other' annointed. So to me looks like changing who the F&DS are

I can just see how the WT study will go for that last post i did, on page 10, paragraph 13. Every person answering worldwide will say, "Um well as we can see in this paragraph, his angels protect us when witnessing, and the elders help us from false reasonings, like apostates, and we also have the faithful slave who helps us from immoral desires and pursing riches. " Nobody will use a scripture, or what a scripture was actually saying, and after the meeting many will approach them on how they enjoyed their comment.

Belonging to Jehovah - an undeserved kindness - Jan 15, 2010 page 10, paragraph 13 -
The question is. "How does Jehovah proected us from dangers that threaten our spiritual welfare". - "How does Jehovah protect his people from these spiritual dangers? THe psalm says, "He will give his own angels a command concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."(ps 91:11) Heavenly angels guide and protect us so that we can preach the good news. (Rev 14:6) In addition to the angels, Christian elders , by holding firmly to the Scriptures(Don't you mean WT?) in their teaching, protect us from being deceived by false reasoning. (Don't you mean by holding firmly to the WT, keep us from being enlightened by the bible?) They can provide individual help to any who are struggling to overcome worldly attitudes. (Titus 1:9; 1Pet 5:2) Also, "the faithful and discreet slave" provides spiritual food to protect us against the teaching of evolution, the enticement of immoral desires, the pursuit of riches and prominence and numberous other harmful desired and influences. (Funny, I thought the bible itself did that and Jesus). (Matt 24:45) What has helped you to resist some of those dangers?
