Marriage counseling? It would go something like this....."all marriage problems and issues would be solved if they did more meetings, study, and service".

How to bring prices down? Eliminate insurance. If insurance was eliminated then people would find that the copays people pay for doctors visits and tests would likely be what the costs would continue to be. Insurance is a big scam w/ the medical industry. If anything have only catastrophic insurance for major medical procedures then a cash pay for doctors visits and basic services. My cash only payment is $10 above what my copay was when I had insurance for my doctor. However they informed me if my insurance copay happened to be higher, they would HAVE to charge me higher. (some special copays are $75 to $90 a visit on some insurance, my copay was $40, but no insurance the visit is $50, but if I had insurance w/ a $70 copay, they would be charging me $70 even though without insurance they accept $50).

to mrmeans question, yes the healthcare industry is very wrong and corrupt. The profit is by unethical means and by hurting people than by helping people.
For example, our bodies are like machines, they require a certain amount of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, etc to function properly. A zinc deficiency can give you bad sexual side effects. A vitamin D deficiency will make you fatigue, etc. Almost all health problems are due to a deficiency or bad balance of nutrients.
If you go to a doctor with a bunch of issues, logic would dictate that they would first run a complete nutrient panel to see if the symptoms may be due to deficiencies or overdoses in what your body needs just to function properly. But NOOO, not only will you have a hard time finding that, your insurance won't cover it either.
Also many people are allergic to foods and additives, etc, so logic would dictate having a food allergy test as well. Again, NO, insurance, etc, won't cover that.
Why is that? Because the doctors will treat the SYMPTOMS NOT the cause. Why? Because if you identify the cause as a deficiency in a certain vitamin, you change your eating habits or get some cheap over the counter vitamins and you get better. The pharmacy companies would lose out on the pills they would prescribe for that.
But it gets even better, the doctor then prescribes a pill instead of identifying the cause, and the pill has side effects, so you start off on one pill and end up on 10 pills to manage the side effects of the other pills.
It still gets even better,,,,if you are taking psychological drugs, many of them will change your body and it will become dependent on them, trying to stop can be near impossible. Some take years to stop and suffer life long side effects.
Why is there no cure for cancer? Because they make billions a year, they dont' want to cut off their money supply.
If the healthcare industry was moral and not corrupt, then tests of vitamins and nutrients would be the starting point. If everything was checking out well there, then it would look into other matters.
Also the FDA has allowed and continues to allow many foods, preservatives, additives, methods that are bad and dangerous and have bad long term side effects.
So yes, the profit in the healthcare industry is wrong, the profit is tempting them to hinder and keep people sick to keep milking them for money. If the healthcare industry has their way, you will be reliant and live your whole life hooked on their pills.

Anybody have experience selling on Ebay or Amazon?
by EndofMysteries inthere are a few collectibles i am wanting to sell.
my concern is that if i accept payment w/ credit card, etc, that i ship the item and they either open it (destroying the value), or just lie about not getting it, or any other thing to cause ebay/amazon to chargeback.
i was wondering if anybody sells on them is there a protection for sellers and how often does that type of thing happen?

Wow that stinks Sam, that's exactly the sort of thing I'm worried about. I heard that buyer reviews are gone on ebay. I know originally sellers could leave feedback too in which case i would feel comfortable selling to somebody who had a good history. On Amazon there are no buyer feedback either.

If it's at night it's a no brainer, the mask is invincible. Bombs, bullets, anything won't hurt him. Mask would win.
In the daytime when the mask doesn't work Ipkiss could ipkiss his ass goodbye against the Joker.

nobody should be signing up for this SCAM called the 'unaffordable healthcare act'. Hopefully the numbers remain super low, if nobody is doing it they'll be forced to change things.
Anybody who disagrees with me on this please explain the following......
I had been paying for my own private insurance. I paid a higher rate for a preexisting condition. It was $150 2 years ago but because of this stupid act it had jumped up to $300 a month by last year.
With my insurance I payed a 'co pay' for doctors visits, specialist visits, etc. Again I was paying a higher rate to begin with.
Now comes along the unaffordable healthcare act. The closest to comparable is a little over $300 a month, but there are no copays for most things, you pay $5000 before they kick in. So I'd be just handing away $3600 to then be paying out of pocket everything I'd need anyway, $3600 a year for what amounts to catastrophic health insurance.
Now here is where the best part comes in...... So my doctors visit copay on my old insurance was $40 a visit. The new one didn't have a copay, would have to pay out of pocket, but let's say it did have a copay of $70, I'd have to pay $70. I told my doctor I had no more insurance and would be paying the full amount myself, my total cost is $50 a visit.
Even some medications when paying cash only are barely more then they were with having insurance.
It seems that insurance is just a big scam in general. It allows doctors, pharmacy, etc, to charge far beyond market value what people would pay individually, it allows insurance companies to make money over fake inflated prices (that's why if you look at your insurance bill you'll see a doctor visit might show it cost $800, but then the negotiated rate means the total visit is $70, minus your $60 copay, the insurance pays $10. Yet they make it seem if you didn't have the isurance it would have cost $800. Yet if you were a cash paying customer it might really only cost $50 or $60.
So back to unaffordable healthcare, not only is it costing more then those w/ bad health and preexisting conditions to begin with, but insurance companies are saying rates will really go up next year, some will double.
How many of you suckers will be paying $600 + a month for insurance that makes you pay the first $5000 to $10000 in bills per calander year before it even kicks in? Why don't you do yourself a favor and fwd your paychecks to me, I'll spend your money better.

^ I think the real issue is the WT is obsessed with people spending 100% of their time either in studying the GB's utterances or field service. Sports are bad because you can be doing study and field service. Vacations are bad because you can be doing field service. Movies, games, etc, are bad because you can be doing field service and study. If the WT was very open, the masturbation article/video would have really said that the time spent double clicking the mouse and choking the chicken could be better spent studying and doing more field service. . They would go into charts of how much time is spent each week by average for men and women and how it probably amounts to more time than spent in field service.

Ive followed the pattern!!
by Jon Preston inso the wt must be well versed in understanding patterns in us faders.
first you comment less, less service, less meeting attendance, then you remove yourself from the school, etc etc.
is there a psychological aspect to this from a non jw point?.

some churches have both a traditional service and contemporary service (more time with modern music).
I've been to baptist and presbyterian so far, both updated from what JW's think of them as. (Baptist not preaching you go to hell, etc, much more laid back now). The baptist one had a weekly home bible study, which was better than the JW version I had been to, it was real discussion on the bible and people would have differing opinions of certain scriptures and it was 'okay'. Unlike the JW where if you don't have the identical and in agreement there is a big problem.
I'd say go to a non denominational, baptist, presbyterian, and look up some others as well. Go to a different one each week until you find one that feels just right.
