  russia has raided three flats of jehovah's witnesses in tambov in the first such reported home raids against them since the soviet era, forum 18 news service has learnt.

  The WTS doesn't have major facilities or a big stake in Russia. If the same 

  were to happen in the US or in Europe then there would be changes.

  The religion of Islam is way more oppressive against it's followers than

  the JWs religion. If a muslim apostasizes he can be put to death and 

  some have. But the Russians are only going about confiscating some

  islamist propaganda and not all islamic writings. There is way more 

  hate in Islam than there is in JWdoom. Catholics and Orthodox 

  Christians have said and done more hate attacks against others

  than the Watchtower has ever published, what with the history

  of pogroms and the anihillation of the Jews and Romany minorities.

  It's a big mess in Russia, but it has always been a big mess there.

  The Nephilem could not have children, they where hy-breds, kind like a thourobred horse can't have offspring.

  Yes, about thorobred horses, they can have offspring and have in the past, that's why they're what they are.

  It's when you mix a donkey with a horse that you get a mix-breed, a mule, and these can't have offspring.

  The idea that angels and humans mate would have similar results, offspring who couldn't reproduce.

  I think if you saved the file on a flash drive and

  took it to Staples or Office Depot they could 

  print it out for you and bind it cheaply enough.

  I do prefer a hard copy to reading online. How

  much would something like doing this cost?

  around $30 less than $40 perhaps?

  I agree Blondie, it is very good news for the Spanish speaking community of JWs.

  With a lot of the growth now happening in Spanish congregations 

  it would be good to have this information available to open people's eyes.

  having read ray franz's " crisis of conscience " 3 years ago -before i read steve hassan's 2 books on mind control - my wife and i thought it would be good to re-read ray's " crisis " book again now that we know more about the workings of " cult mind control".

  we just finished chapter 2 and i noticed striking similarities i thought i would share.. notice this quote in " crisis of conscience " on pg.

  28 & 29 by franz , " thus numerous factors that are relatively common knowledge in many religious organizations are known only vaguely , if at all, by the vast majority of jehovah's witnesses.

  Is Steve Hassan's book also translated into 
  Spanish? Do you think it would be worthwhile
  to suggest a Spanish translation of this and 
  other important books for JWs, considering
  most of the growth these days is in Spanish
  speaking congregations.

  Wonderful quality RePrints of Watchtower books and Publications

  there are a great many reasons it becomes difficult to "prove" to active jw's that the watchtower society has had an amazing series of crackpot teachings, beliefs and assertions over the years.. first off, the availability of old publications is problematic.

  the society has cleverly sucked them out of the libraries of local kingdom halls.

  older collectors are often dead or apostate.. ebay can provide steep asking-prices.. but--a few years back, i discovered the availability of reprints in quality self-published form on lulu.com and amazon.. these reprints are beautifully done and easier to read than an old, moth-eaten, mildew-stained yellowy tome from the early era!.

  Of course this is a big lie. 

  But the fact that they sent a letter giving this advice means they may 

  not be legally responsible for some DF'ing decision made 

  by some BOE in Podunk Congregation some place.

  Would someone who was inactive and had doubts, 

  voiced them, would they be extended repentance? 

  You betcha they wouldn't.

  If you are inactive and want to come back to the Borganization, 

  ask forgiveness for any wrongdoing from God, not from some group of men.

  Circuit Overseers

  some circuit overseers leave lasting impressions either for good or bad.

  others i barely remember.

  three that had the most impact on me were rodricks (that's how it's pronounced, not sure of the spelling), casino and shepherd.

  Welcome! I think that Rodricks (or however it's spelled) is or was recently a DO in the Northeastern U.S.

  Yeah, past CO. He ended up in Massachussets as DO. Natick Assembly Hall. 

  His real name is Rodrigues, it's a Portuguese name but he likes to hide that fact.

  He prefers an Anglo pronunciation of Rodricks. He's the one that got me to be

  conscious. (If I can borrow the illustration often used on this forum about 'the

  conscious class'). He's a real company man and loves politicking. He likes perks

  and depends on many a well to do brother for 'perks' for him and his wife.
  
  BTW he's one to ask about pedo-cases and Society's keeping stumm.
