The public issues of the WT and g are the carrot.
The study edition is the whip.
some time has passed since my disfellowshipping, and even more time since i've been to a meeting.
with the stress of finally moving out, university, and work issues, i haven't had much time to reflect on my past life as one of jehovah's witnesses and what it really meant.
as i left my hometown on the bus yesterday evening, i finally had some "chill" time.
The public issues of the WT and g are the carrot.
The study edition is the whip.
at http://www.anointedjw.org/ a higher eschelon jw mentions that at a meeting of co's with do's it was stated that anointedjw.org website is the biggest pain in the side of the governing body.. do you feel that what's being published at anointedjw.org is having a big effect on the gb and / or on the congregations?.
if so what is it about their articles there that are opening jw eyes to an awakened state where so many others have tried and failed to awaken jws?.
what do you foresee could hapen as a result of pressure from anointedjw.org and their articles on the gb's attitude and their reactions?.
I think Watkins has it right for the most part.
the AnointedJW.org site posts almost weekly letters they've sent the Governing Body.
Their articles point to sonship and a heavenly reward. Their doing this makes the 144,000 WT teaching false and holds up the hope of life in heaven for believers in Christ.
Those who aren't Christians may not agree with the teachings in the AnointedJW.org web site, but those who are Christian believers may appreciate their clear biblical teachings.
All here may appreciate that anything that corrodes loyalty to the GB is helping to bring down the WT.
so last night i had a family meeting and told my kids that i was quitting as a jw and then gave my wife my da letter to give to the one elder i like at the hall tonight.
so this morning i see a text from the co elder the one that met with me and is gunning to get me out and had already tried to get me to a jc meeting this week.
so the text reads "your wife has informed me of your letter and its sad to hear, would like to meet one last time not as a jc, to be sure this is what you want.".
@Crazyguy,
Tell the CO guy that you wrote that letter in haste and due to your stressed out state you
want to retract it. Do this if you want to stop associating without being tagged as DA'ed or DF'ed.
.
Then write the BOE of your congregation another letter telling them you are withdrawing membership
from that congregation. That's right... not DA'ing as a JW... but rather, withdrawing membership from
that specific congregation.
.
So include that you in no way are disassociating yourself from the Jehovah's Witness community.
Only that you no longer want to be recognized in the membership list of that particular congregation.
.
Then write another letter telling them to cease calling or making contact with you, threaten with
legal measures against the local BOE. Tell them that you will not include the Watchtower Society in
the legal case unless they start giving legal advise to the BOE and by their association they are
including themselves in your legal case against them.
.
You want to repeat clearly that you will sue the local BOE for any judicial action they take against you,
since you don't consider yourself a member of that congregation anylonger, and you will sue them for
any negative mention of you in a public setting or any announcement.
.
End by reassuring them that you are not disassociating yourself and you reserve the right to join another
JW congregation of your choosing wherenever you're ready to do so, where you won't feel they'll
harass you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
.
Due to the stress you've been a victim of through the BOE's contact with you, you find no alternative but
to withdraw membership from that congregation and their biggoted representatives.
.
DO NOT involve your wife in any communications as a go-between. And tell the BOE in the letter to respect
your head of household standing and not discuss anything related to you or your family unless you are
present.
.
Wishing you the best,
Oppostate

me just learning the truth about the truth has just made it hard to even get through a two hour meeting at the the kingdom hall.
i get so sleepy during them and i almost cannot contain it!
the last time i went to a convention, i was still an avid believer but as you can see, that has changed.
I bring an ebook reader and read a good novel. The more interesting the better. After a while the droning voices from the platform just fade from consciousness as I get lost in the action of the novel. Set the font level to the smallest you can bear and prevent nosy folks from reading over your shoulder.
When I get tired of reading I take a break and nap for a while. My wife won't elbow me awake unless I start snoring loudly, in which case it's time for a bathroom break, when I come back to the seat it's always good to reach into the lunch box and get a snack or a drink, or maybe a piece of gum to chew while I go back to the novel.
For those stuck due to family allegiances and loyalties to the WT, I encourage the reading for entertainment and nap time during assemblies and conventions. I found this routine quite more bearable than trying to listen to the annoying nonsense being spouted from the platform.
One advantage of napping, especially during the last talk, which is usually by some Bethel heavy, is that if you can get a good nap, when it's time to drive the several hours trip back home you will feel a lot more rested.
So get an ebook and download a good novel.
i'm confused.
how can they quote verses 7,8 and say that david spared mephibosheth??.
verse 9 says he handed them all over to be killed.. .
David spared the life of Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the Mephibosheth in the next verse was Jonathan's brother and probably the one whom Jonathan's son was named after. David had an oath to keep towards Jonathan's progeny, not that of his brothers. That's the way things rolled back then.

just when you think you can trust people, even family you cant!!
i have put out some feelers to gauge reaction and thoughts.
even though many feel the morale is bad they will turn on you in a heartbeat.
I've been burnt like this many times. Just when you think you are able to share TTATT points with someone they end up blabbing to the elders and it turns into an inquisition where you have to "apologize that you'd been misunderstood". How many times can this happen? As many times as you try and try and try again to open someone's eyes and they're not ready to waken up yet from the CULT! Yup it's a cult! And yep, they're brainwashed. And I'm thankful I was able to wake up from it thanks in part to the insensitivity and the grandstanding by CO Scott Henry and his Daddy.
when you look at the image above what do you see?
a sneaker or an outward display that i am now following after another religious group?.
well yesterday i had a 10 minute conversation with an elder who finally got the balls to call me.
Write the BOE a letter telling them you are withdrawing membership from that congregation.
Include that you in no way are disassociating yourself from the greater Jehovah's Witness community.
Only that you no longer want to be recognized in the membership list of that particular congregation.

legal measure against the local BOE. Tell them that you will not include the Watchtower Society in

setting or any announcement. End by saying that you are not disassociating yourself and you
reserve the right to join another JW congregation of your choosing where you will feel they won't
harass you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Due to their mistreatment of you, and
their discrimination against you (for all these reasons against the BOE), you find no alternative but
to withdraw membership from that congregation and their biggoted pioneer representatives.
so there are roughly 12,000 "annointed" here on earth right now.
even though they are christ's brothers and the new testament was written just for them, they have no say on how "jehovah's organazation" is run and the the things taught.
makes sense to me!!!
The latest from the Gooberning Bawdy is that only them, the 8 that are part of this Gooberning Bawdy, are the ones in charge of dispensing spiritual food and that the other anointed plus the ones who aren't a total of 7 million JWs are the domestics who take in of the spiritual food provided.
Anything else is "old light".
i suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.
i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.
(rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.
why feed the troll?
Hey I just noticed this is my post #333
that must make it, like what, half evil!
