freedon of religion guarantees any individual the legal right to abandon any religion at any time for any reason.. if you are a citizen of a country which champions human rights, then your government doesn t care what religion you join, but they will uphold your freedom to join it, without interference, coercion or persecution.

your countries human rights legislation will conversely uphold your rights when it comes time to abandon any religion you so choose.

those (elders) who incite others interfere, coerce or persecute those who have left will be in transgression of the human rights statutes.. a person is only obligated to ecclesiastic law if he exposes himself to it or transgressed it while still a member of a religious community.. when your time comes to abandon the jw-wt cult, do it while still in good standing, be proactive - be decisive -put it in writing!..and do it before the hounders set sights on you.. write a card or letter with as much or as little explanation as you one day might wish to share with pharisees and lawyers.. take this card to a notary public to have your signature witnessed and have the writing overstamped in several places with the date.

You should write the congregation' BOE and tell them you do not wish to continue as a member of that specific congregation.

In the same letter you should threaten to take legal action against the elders if they say anything to mar your reputation with your former congregation associates.

You should make it clear that if you wish to join another congregation you will do so without needing to tell them.

If they say anything or write anything against you, as in a letter to another BOE, you will take legal action against them.

This will prevent their announcing anything about your not being a JW anymore, all you've done is leave that congregation and that's not a DF'ing offense.

For the BOE to take any action against you would be opening themselves to a lawsuit since you've already informed them that you are no longer a member of that congregation.

There are legal precedents that support a person leaving a congregation and suing a former congregation due to retaliation on their part for one's leaving.

The original is in Danish, I've only found access to the first season on Netflix streaming, and as you say it's with English subtitles.

Where did you find season 2 of "Dicte"? I'm interested in seeing how the whole JW parents shunning situation is developed throughout the series.

i was thinking of doing a pop-in visit when they're doing their thing(what ever that might be).

to just see what it is that lures and hooks people, like our son.

i was worried there is some sort of subliminal messages in audio or video that start to brain-wash a person.

No electromagnetic rays but an aluminum/tin foil pointy hat would definitely keep back a lot of unwanted attention, errh somewhat.

It's the love-bombing that hooks new folks. The love that quickly disappears from most JW's once the newbie is baptized.

i've enjoyed reading many of the reports from our brothers in foreign... wait... that's not right.

let's try again.... i've enjoyed reading many of the reports from those who either experienced it first hand, or got reports from family still, the video zone meeting, complete with a gb member rambling about spanx and yoga pants.. is there a video of this momentous event, or at least a transcript of the entire meeting and its contents?.

Over 1,000,000 in attendance and you are worried about tight pants?

you know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.

" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.

but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".

The only part of my suits that seems to be tight is the belly part.

But I'm going to Amazon.com and buying the most neon colored socks I can and wear them to the KH.

I pity the fool that says anything at the KH about my choice of clothing!

Elders are going to the CO on me

i celebrated halloween and my birthday and the elders have been told.

husband told the elders i've called the religion a cult.

they said i'm "heading down a road to be an apostate.

Send the BOE a letter saying you are no longer a member of such and such congregation and are looking for another more Christian and welcoming JW congregation. Although in no way is your decision to withdraw membership from that Congregation in particular to be interpreted as disassociating with the whole association of JW's. Only you wish to stop the maligning and damaging relationship the local BOE has develop with you and want to seek a more peaceful and beneficial congregation for you.

The next day send them another letter saying that if they dare hold any religious based judicial proceedings against you or in retaliation for your decision you will depend on legal counsel to bring them to court as a BOE for their not following their own rules published in WTS publications.

Say that you will not sue the WTS or the traveling representative unless they become actively supportive of the BOE's past harrassment and mistreatment of you as a congregation member.

The BOE will get a black eye from the CO and the Branch because they don't want to be involved and your relationship with the BOE could cost them legal troubles and bad publicity.

They will stop hounding you.

Take your time. Maybe you'll find another JW Congregation to be a member of, maybe not ever, but whatever the case it's your decision to be part of it or not.

Even if not said, even if only thought, the inner perception of most JW's would be to raise a flag of concern and distrust that a person known as a "brother" has whiskers without an obvious excuse like a skin problem. Facial hair is a branding of "BA", bad attitude.
