Gasp! Billy the Ex-Bethelite reading/studying a WT? Whatever happens resist the urge to underline or highlight or both, and in different colors! -

big accident at Warwick construction site
by oppostate inthe wt society is fond of using the tilt-up method of construction where a network of rebar is made on the ground, concrete poured on it and allowed to cure, then the whole thing is tilted up and voila' you've got yourself a massive big-ass wall ready made.
these walls for several stories-high buildings are indeed massive and weighty so you need a heavy-duty crane to raise into position.. i just heard from an eye-witness ldc volunteer that while there a few weeks ago they had an enormous accident.
the crane tilted and crashed, the only one hurt was its operator.

I wonder who owns the broken crane and if the operator has insurance. What a tragic realization that volunteers can cost you more than you bargained for. -

I just heard from an eye-witness LDC volunteer that while there a few weeks ago they had an enormous accident. The crane tilted and crashed, the only one hurt was its operator. It seems that the ground hadn't been properly packed/rolled down and when they'd moved the crane to the new spot and started to move and raise the newly cured massive wall, the ground underneath shifted because of all the weight and the crane tilted and fell sending the new wall crashing back to the ground.

I like the ASV, WEB, and YLT translations;
I also enjoy a BLT a lot if I'm reading the Bible during lunch.

How can they continue the FDS "prophecy" now?
by StarTrekAngel ini know there are another 100 threads probably started on this.
i can't help but to wonder how would anyone be able to defend the existence of the fds at this point.
could anyone play devils advocate?

The GB can claim to be the FDS because 8 million GB followers will support them and believe them. Does that prove anything? How many Catholics follow the Pope? How many mormons follow their Prez and 12 apostles? The number of people that follow them only proves how successful they've been at duping people. -

WT's explanations of The Truth(R) seems to have been composed by Rumsfeld "There are known-knowns and unknown-knowns, and known-unknowns blah blah blah". Clear as dungy mud.
Bunch of self aggrandizing narcissistic BS all this WT Truth.

underline your books.

Every thought ever thought and every word ever written about a tree, is not a tree.
Wouldn't that depend on whether it was written on tree pulp paper, instead of say parchment, papyrus or how much cotton rag content the paper had?
"Go digital, don't print if you don't absolutely have to, and save some trees."

Book underlining and question and answer meetings are left overs from the Bible Student movement days where every congregation was called a class and studied Russell's books. They are the trappings of what JW's think is "studying". -

It's a big project but definitely not worth the amount of money grabbing from the collection of congregation bank accounts and the sale of many KH's, Circuit Assembly Halls, and the Brooklyn properties. Add to that the scam of forgiving loans but not forgetting a monthly contribution of equal or higher amount than the loan used to be. The letting go of so many older bethelites, CO's over 70 and all the DO's, whose medical insurance they no longer are responsible for.
This is a pricey project but there's way too much money left over in the bag, so they're planning for more. But more of what?

i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

around these parts we have some high-hour home-schoolers which are often dropped off at the KH and put on a car-group many times, often during the summer, without a parent to accompany them.
