  dear friends, "my story"?

  i lost touch with jw 1991 (i was declared "not to be associated with") and shortly after became a "born again christian".

  i was recovering a difficult divorce (my love for 10 years / we were both jw) and was recovering myself.

  No prob, Lincoln. I am a Christian, I do feel the gentle strength of the Holy Spirit guiding my life away from the JW cult. I started partaking almost ten years ago at the Memorial and been persecuted by the local elders for witnessing about Jesus mediatorship and being adopted as God's sons and daughters through faith in Christ Jesus.

  What you are describing is a feeling of euphoria due to a heightened emotional climax, it is sort of a trance state. It can be found in many other religions and especially so animistic religions where shamans put themselves in such states as part of their rituals.

  Babbling at the top of your voice and saying hah-hah-hah-hah sounds more like a shaman's trance incantation to the demons.

  Remember what the fruit of the Spirit entails: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Those are the things that should evidence a Christian's faith in reliance of anointing by the Holy Spirit, are they not?

  Both Hillary and Trump could really mess up free trade this time around. I don't trust either of them. They are both crooked and triggerhappy. Vote for the Gary Johnson the pothead, because character matters.

  I agree I can see either Hillary or Trump tanking the U.S. economy and affecting the global markets big time. I don't trust either of them, either :-(

  And about pot? I like pot. I haven't done pot since college, but I don't think it should be criminalized as it currently is.

  Libertarians aren't all alike, and there's a big left to right spectrum from anarcho-syndicalists like Chomsky to anarcho-capitalists like the Tea(bagging) Partiers.

  I believe a large part of the current political arena problem is that the majority of the U.S. electorate is largely suffering from global illiteracy--they are globally myopic. They have little clue what is really going on around the world, and even less interest in finding out.

  jw's are always claiming that they are the only religion that preaches and uses the name jehovah, and that is why only they will be saved.

  What the F*** are you talking about! The "Highpriest" would pronounce it outloud once a year in public, it has nothing to do with him spelling it out. The four Hebrew letters are Yod-He-Waw-He. Most of the time in the early copies now extant the Masoretes pointed it with the Eh and Ah, as in the vowels of Shema, not Adonay.

  These four consonants are "matres lectionis" (mothers of reading) and can act as vowels sounds "Yod" for EE or EH, "He" for EH or AH, and "Waw" for Oh or OO.

  As Josephus (who was writing in Greek) said the name is pronounced according to its vowels.
  = Ee, Eh, Oh, Ah.
  Hebrew has breathing sounds, like our H, the Greeks thought of that as an accent.

  From Hebrew "YeHoWaH" we get the Latin "IeHoUaH" which with the later consonant script form of the letter I, and the U/V split, became "JeHoVaH" in more modern ecclesiastical Latin.

  The later pointing that appears in the Tetragram isn't what Martin, the Catholic Monk, used, because the vowels aren't the same in YeHoWaH and aDoNai, not even eLoHiM.

  Eegads! Yes. I'm for real. Kinda leaning anarcho-syndicalist at the moment.

  Clinton or Trump are going to ruin the economy. Printing more dollar bills isn't going to solve the problems.

  I've just about thrown my hands up in the air on this one. If these are the choices the majority wants then let the ballots fall where they may.

  my "anointed" roommate told me a good one today.

  as we were discussing psychotropic medications, she brought up a friend of hers who was recently forced off of "benzodiazepine" (there is no one drug by this name; rather, it is a specific classification of drug).

  she claimed that many people are being forced off of the medication(s) due to "concerns over side effects," and that her friend is suffering from withdrawal on top of whatever symptoms the drug was previously helping to control (she didn't elaborate and i didn't feel comfortable asking, sorry).. my roommate then went on record to say (i'm paraphrasing here) "this is why armageddon has to happen very soon, because satan is using this system to make all these people suffer psychologically to drive them into the streets and go crazy.
