what do you think about using pre-teens to work religious propaganda phonebank?.
Doesn't the Watchtower know that the sound of children on the phone is bound to make "worldlings" suspicious and turned off?
As a parent I would be more worried about who is getting "turned on"! Imagine you are a kid and you get some creepy dude on the phone saying nasty things maybe some sex talk from a perv sex offender and then what? Good grief why put kids in such a situation?

Blondie, a "religious propaganda phone bank" is what having young kids like in the above photo meet at the hall to practice and make unsolicited calls to people in their community with offers for bible studies, religious based literature and invitations to JW.0rg or an Assembly/Convention.
They are being run in some KH's all over creation. In my local hall in Mass. pioneers take young one under their wing and train them by making practice calls then they call up numbers from researched lists of gathered phone numbers in places with buildings where they cannot enter unless invited in. It's called "doing telephone territory".
How do I know pre-teens are involved. Because some of the kids being trained and used aren't even 13 yo.

i guess tax payers get to subsidize the conventions, who knew!.

no wonder they really push people to book through the congregation rather than privately, directly - it's all about the rebates!.
They also get complimentary rooms or upgrades to executive suites for each 40 or 50 rooms they manage to sell to the dubs.
I can attest to that.
It's a common practice as I learned when "helping" with overseeing the rooming dept. at Conventions.
These rooms go to visiting oligarchs from Bethel or any other heavy who's giving a talk.
But would free rooms be given to a single parent mom with little children. Nope. In such cases you track down her local elders and make it plain they need to see to that getting resolved or else.
you guys do know that if you just leave and never go back you wont be disfellowshiped right?
i know people who have done exactly this.
you have to commit a sin and you or someone else has to tell a elder.
You have to commit a sin and you or someone else has to tell a elder.
Hah-hah-hah-hah-hah! You really crack me up. Is it a sin to not believe that the FDS is the Governing Body?
If so then all previous JW's to the "new light" should have been considered sinners for apostate thinking.
I think it is a worse sin (than many that will get you DF'ed and shunned)
to put your faith on what a few fickle pharisaical frumps in New York tell you to believe and lead your life by.
Yes, the real sin is you, ABeliever, are defending these never-right nincompoop nutters.
at this year's annual meeting (2016), david "mark" sanderson asks the audience the question, "are you determined to keep on preaching with us until we say the work is completed?
" to which they respond with applause.
do you think that stopping the preaching work will ever be a part of the gb's long range plan?
If he said it that way it's a definite case of Trumpitis.
With all the thousands of hours producing but a trickle of new converts, to stop the requirement to knock on doors and stand by carts and show videos from JW.0rg would mean that the little trickle would dry up pretty fast.
They could always go lower and lower on the age at which to allow kids to get baptized but even then the retention rate would still be awful and more and more born-ins would be disowned at DF'ing when they wised up later in life.
Nah, I don't think they'll be calling the "preaching work" anytime soon. It doesn't seem in the GoBo's best interest to do so.
there are quite a few here who have been disfellowshipped for apostasy.. then there are those that have successfully faded.. why the different outcome?
are the ones that got df more out spoken?
or does the discrepancy lie with the elders?.
Why the different outcome? Are the ones that got DF more out spoken?
Yup. I feel that's exactly it.
They hate open dissension.
If you speak out you're in a whack-a-mole situation.
